I think perhaps your cooking has already been seriously interfered with... but you could order in a good British curry. Does the local Wimpy Bar do deliveries??? Actually, I really do fancy a Brit style brekkie - lovely sausages, bacon, eggs, toast, baked beans, black pud.. I'll bring the coffee!!!:sneaky:

The patio is as you say, only a few inches high, so I've got to throw myself off it several hundred times to achieve a fatal total height.

You do realise this will seriously interfere with my cooking?

Wimpy bar? Blimey. You haint bin ere in a while. It's all Macdonald's trying to pretend they're British.

But yes - I've found a good butcher and the sausages and bacon are just gooooooorjus. You'll have to do the coffee. I'm a Tea man myself.

Right! G'night! Have to be ready to be up to go into town when my bruv goes cos I'm cooking tomorrow. Aaaagh! Not tomorrow, later today.

Last Wimpy bar I saw was at Felixstowe about 7 years ago. No, since then, one near Winchester... they did do a good brekkie. So did Tesco's for that matter. Haven't been to UK since November last year.

Sleep well.

This was a road day. Stopped at FlyingJ Truck Stop and picked up some fried burritos, Corn Dogs, a bag of Cheez-it crackers, some mixed nuts, and Jack Link Beef Jerky, couple of colas, and back on the road, munching as we drive into the sunset.

Life is good.

Tough one. Time we had some fish, but son is allergic and Small Person will only eat fish fingers. So it's salmon tales for some and lamb steaks for others.... Stir fry mixed vegies and maybe rice for a change... :sneaky:

We had the most excellent Beef Stew with Buttermilk Biscuits that I made this afternoon. It was excellent because of the three cups of excellent Australian Merlot that went into the stew.

The Small One was given a Kids' Cooking Book for Christmas and tonight he wanted fish and chips. Much much easier to go to the chippie, or buy deep frozen oven bake fish and chips. But NO - we had to do it from first principles. Without a chip making machine it's really quite hard to get chips to look like bought ones. And I don't normally peel potatoes, but this time...! And we also made batter and fixed breadcrumbs... At least he now knows what cooking fish and chips used to be like. It's an oven baking recipe - I don't deep fry. The fish is snapper - looks yummy. But the proof of the pudding is in the eating. I'll report back... :D
