If you have to shoot, do you always shoot to kill or do you try to wound instead if possible?
If any FG-ers came to Florida and fell foul of the law (accidently, of course :wah: ) how could they get a message to you so you could help them sort out their problem? Or could you not get involved?
When you come to the UK would you seriously try to enter the Police Force again or would you try to run your bookshop or would you just want to retire in peace and enjoy life? :driving: Did you know that you could carry a gun here, in certain police jobs? Eg, patrolling Heathrow. Also if you DID join the police force here and you were involved in a high speed car chase, would you automatically remember which side of the road to drive on? Sorry, that sounds cheeky, but I just wondered if you would find it an easy or difficult transformation.
Would you be able to use the NHS at all, or only when you take Citizenship?
Would you give up your American Citizenship or would you want dual nationality?
How did you get to meet Bothwell? (If its not too personal?) Did you meet him here at FG? How did you decide he was the one for you?
My nose is longer than Pinocchinose's! Thanks for answering. :rolleyes:good grief! ok, here goes...we are trained to shoot center mass, i.e., shoot to kill. if i have to shoot someone, i don't want to wound them and give them the chance to kill me! FG-ers in florida, sorry, i'm not putting my personal info out on the forum. in England, i could not carry unless i was a citizen. i think the bookshop is the thing i'd enjoy the most. England does not allow dual citizenship that i know of, giving up my American citizenship is something i would be forced to consider. ---i will probably never learn how to drive on the wrong side of the road! ---and Bothwell and i came to FG together, we met here, not online.

:)we need miranda. and it's so easy, i will never understand how people can forget to mirandize! why do we have it? to protect the rights of citizens. return to 30's, 40's, 50's...no. police had too much arbitrary power. before i answer the rest of KP's questions, let me point out he is a LEO and is teasing me! :p (i am also quite fond of him!)

And why cant they just use their own sheep ?

It sounds like its a very stressfull job.i won't talk about my kids, sorry. i had a stalker once who googled my commission and got the names of my kids and made threats. not that YOU would do that, but i am cautious. i KNOW the job caused my heart attack. i was healthy as an ox. the night before i worked 12 hours and felt fine...the 12-hour shifts contributed to more than one heart attack. we had to work 12 hours a day, and then got ordered to work 12 on our days off. and it was never nice and quiet. thankfully the government decided police and fire heart attacks were work-related by definition.

I am sorry you feel so sad about your job, but at least you have something to look forward to. Being with Both. Just focus on that and remember what an asset you were to your department. You at least were able to live out one of your dreams. It could have been worse. Focus on being thankful you made it that far and you are still here to reach some more of your goals.... You sound like a very strong lady and you will come out of this with an even better life than before.
