I have to take cortizone for a couple more days, so it makes me wired, I am grand really though. I had a nice dinner as well, lovely baked fish, the lamb stew I cooked is for tomorrow.

Tuesday nights snow disappeared really quickly and we only had a 'dusting' last night..... it's cold but the sun is shining.

We are protected by the south Downs here so lucky if snow is forecast.

Jim is at work but i'm sure that he will speak to you later.

One thing I will say is this, Jim joined FG to talk with other people on the bereaved site, people that knew what he was going through, a support for all those people who'd lost a loved one. He then started posting on the more general threads, he was so impressed that he encouraged me to join and i am very glad that I did.

We have had some real S*** go on in our lives and felt that we had friends here that we could talk to, friends that take the good with the bad. In the space of 2 weeks, we found out Jim's daughter was back in hospital after attempting to take her life again (Jim had only established contact 4 months previously after 10 years, to find out she had been horrifically raped and had been placed in homes due to subsequent attempts on her life) and I put my back out and was told the surgery that would take the pain would leave me a cripple.

Now maybe it was naive of us to think that people would take us for face value, but what you see is most definitely what you get with us and as a result we just assume everyone else is the same. The problem is, in RL you can very quickly sift through the type of people who are 'false' and we quickly disassociate ourselves from them, but I can honestly say I never give them people another thought and I would never ever go round saying things behind their back.

Jim didn't mention a word what was going on while i was in hospital as he thought it would upset me, I only found out since I came back this year. As far as I can see, the people that was bitching behind his back, didn't even have the 'decency' and i use that word lightly, to do any of this to his face, and then when these people are proven wrong they feel thats it's beneath them to make an apology.

No-one in life is always right, and i for one am far from perfect, but i am so glad that i can look in the mirror each night and know that i'm a true person that wouldn't intentionally want my malicious words cause grief or upset for anyone, it's the old saying, if you have nothing nice to say, then say nothing.

We are singing from the same song sheet here, no one (well nearly) wants to see friends hurt with careless words, I have no doubt that certain people won't change because i do believe that some people enjoy trying to goad people and think nothing of hurting peoples feelings.

I must admit i was really upset last night that someone tried hacking into Jim's and my account as i'm sure anyone would be, it would be really nice if the person could PM just to say sorry, but i doubt that will happen and it'll be left to the report to let me know.

I haven't named any names in this post and this post is in no way meant to offend anyone

I've found that the majority of problems between people come down to power struggles. Those that feel powerless for some reason in their lives try to make up for it by gaining power over others, be that by feeling they command an army or that they can persuade others to think or say what they want them to. There is a difference between those that speak with the power of conviction and those that speak for the power of conviction. In the first, the person has belief in him/herself, in the latter, the person is lacking belief in him/herself.

If you speak with conviction then you can stand on your own and fight a battle. If you speak for conviction then you need the help of others who are willing to convict. One shows power the other shows weakness. When I am attacked I try to keep this in mind and feel compassion for those that aren't strong enough to find their power from within. My reaction consistently shows that I am not willing to feed the powerless by giving them any of my own. Be aware of what people are taking from you. That is the only advice to be given.
