Try this next time you grill your chops. Its good on steaks too and if you mix this with some green onion for burgers it will make you happy.

Pork sausages, oven roasted potatoes, peas, baked beans and gravy... Yeah, I know, but the boss of the house (aged 5) won't eat anything else*
*except fish and chocolate and peanut butter.
(Stroganoff and broccoli sound pretty good)

I'll have to try that sometime! Thanks! I marinated the chops in a local dressing called Gazebo Room Greek Salad Dressing. It's FABULOUS!! Then, I just add other spices such as kosher salt, pepper, Old Bay seasoning, celery salt, garlic powder, & basil leaves. They were delicious!

This isn't a bad thread, cause ya know how sometimes you just don't know what to make and you want something new but you dont know what because if you knew you'd have made it before? I think I may use this for ideas.

in case anyone is curious about charro beans, here's the recipe.
they are SO good! :yh_drool
Charro Beans
Frijoles Charros
1 pound dried pinto beans
2 large onions, chopped
6 garlic cloves, minced
4 or 5 fresh jalapenos, stemmed, seeded and diced
6 bacon strips, chopped
1/2 cup chopped, thinly sliced ham
4 tomatoes, chopped
1/2 cup cilantro leaves chopped
4 green onions, chopped
1/2 chicken boullion cube
salt to taste.
Sort beans to remove rocks and foreign matter. Place beans in colander and rinse under hot water about 2 or 3 minutes. Place beans in large sauce pan and add water. Add bacon, chopped onion, jalapenos, tomatoes, ham and garlic. Bring to a boil, cover and reduce heat. Simmer on low heat until beans are almost done (about 1 1/2 hours) Add green onions and chopped cilantro. Add boullion cube and salt to taste. Simmer for another 30 minutes. Serve beans in bowl with broth.
