As for arguing. I don't. IMO, it's pointless to bicker over stuff when it's impossible to change someone's opinion/point of view etc. I much prefer rational discussion, and if things get heated, I back off till they cool down.

I pick my battles and make sure I'm calm before I engage. Scares the crap out of people most of the time. I usually end up with folks saying "Well, thanks for being so calm about it." I still remember that one. I got thanked by someone for tearing a strip off them because I did it without yelling.

i have a bad habit of venting. and i dont expect an answer or arguement. just leave me alone till i am through and dont bring it up later. it surprises me once in a while when i hear a man do it. once i ever figure out yo are venting i can pretty well tune ya out . untill then i hear every word and take it literally. :-5

Thats the way to go! I tend to do that too, but also in the nicest possible way, it totally throws people!
