Has anyone seen this? He's a very good magician BUT I am upset at the way he keeps denigrating Houdini.

I've seen previews for his shows on TLC, but haven't been able to catch one yet. He looks pretty talented, but what's this about denigrating Houdini? Why would he feel the need to do that? What's he say, NV?

The same show keeps running. I only ever get to catch bits and pieces, but from what I've seen, he is awesome. He has people turn their back on him, poke a voodoo doll, and he bleeds from whereever they poke. Would love to be able to sit and watch the whole show sometime LOL. I haven't heard anything he's said about Houdini yet.

I did see him too, the girls and I watched the other nite, the voodoo doll thing was amazing. As well for a stunt he lit himself on fire and wandered around for like 20 seconds then went onto a special platform and fell face first onto it. A guy rushed out to put him out. The kicker was..... when the smoke cleared there was nothing but a pile of burnt clothing, and they guy extinguishing the fire was Criss.... that was incredible.
Another thing he did, he had observers hold a large trash can over him, upside down as he crouched to the cement. Once the rim of the can hit the cement, though his little radio speaker thing he told the observers (about 6 of them) to hold the can down firmly to the ground so he could not escape and counted to 3 and told them to flip the can and amazing he was gone, and he called out to them from the top of the building they were all in front of.
His levitation is incredible. He has himself or a bystander lean back and either bystanders for himself or he for his "victim" hold their head and slowly he bends them backwards and in the end they are bend 90degrees at the knees and stretched parallel to the ground. And he himself held that position unaided as did the other person. In his show with the other person he took it further, he slowly pulled up one leg then the other and presto they were suspended. Amazing stuff

The 2 shows I saw - he kept saying Houdini was an amateur compared to him. Well D'OH - who does he think came up with so much of modern magic? Houdini was a trailblazer - not some dumb slacker. It just made me mad because I really like Houdini.
