I have definite preferences and my wife hates me for it. I would just as soon you burn the body, pulverize it, an till it under in someone's garden. Make it a vegetable or flower garden. Both serve good purposes.

When I die, why should I care what happens to the shell that housed me? I'm like a butterfly in a coccoon. :-2 I guess that makes me a worm, huh?

Place in oven and bake until nothing is left.. pulverize the rest.. place in urn...

Take to local bar. Put a bottle of JD on once side.. a tall frosty on the other.. Put a good collection of tunes on the box... then party like crazy until the sun comes up. No crying ... no wailing. The person you remember is not in that urn.. just remember the good times and laugh.. that is what my will says.. Even put aside the money for an open bar..

Burn, baby BURN!!!!

The ol' man and I have very similar requests for our final party:

Cremation, the urn strapped to my bike and ridden hard and fast to the PARTY. Everyone gets sloppy stupid drunk and has a blast. Huge band and bonfire, and before the end a teaspoon of my ashes dropped into a fifth of Jack Daniels that all my brothers and sisters drink out of. Yep. Goin' out in style.

I have a donor card - I doubt they will use anything from though - been pretty abusive to my body. I do have a sense that chemo really cleaned it out. I want to be cremated and my ashes poured into a Class 4 rapid on a river - WHAT FREEDOM of spirit that would give me.

When you witness someone you love go through living off a dialysis machine and come close to death, you realize how crucial the need is for organs.

I'll go out the traditional way. The eulogy, picture display of my life and home video played at my funeral with chosen songs during the viewing. I'll go in a family plot with a prechosen paragraph and the words wife~mother~friend~sister.

Give my organs to anyone who wants 120 year-old spare parts. Dump what’s left in the cheapest pine box available and burry it in the cheapest real estate available. Don’t burn what’s left. God made me so I would decay for a reason. I don’t know why. If I spontaneously combust when I die then so be it.

For those who select burning...that’s okay for you. I’m not deciding for others.

Leaving your body in your will to the local teaching hospital makes the entire process free and you get to meet interesting students who know what makes you tick.

Cremation for me as well I have it paid for already. I'm no in any hurry to show up for the burning just yet. I have a donor card as well if there is anything still working when I die they can have it. :D

I will be buried with my family, next to my mom, my dad on the other side of her. The only constant I have had in my life has been my family and we came here together, we will leave together. My name is already on the stone. I will most likely prepay for my funeral so no one has to make any decisions when I'm done for. I do want a lot of flowers, flowers at a funeral are never a waste in my opinion. Absolutely no embalming and no viewing whatsoever. Either carry my coffin to the graveside or have it there when people arrive. No church service. Graveside service only. No preacher. Just a friend to do the speaking. I am to be committed to the ground in full witness of everyone. I want people to see my coffin lowered down. No music until after the service when people gather wherever they will. Flowers or donations made to no-kill animal shelters. The Serenity Prayer is to be read. That's all I have at present.

No no, that's twins in a suicide pact. Parents always come first in any family.

At first I was thinking something along the lines of Lenins (Nomads) tomb for myself but if we ever get invaded the armies would probably desecrate my shrine so Ive settled on something that will stand the test of time.

definately cremation:thinking: i am terrified of the whole burial thing, it sort of gross to me ,, ok you're dead now, no good anymore, dig a hole put them in and cover them up!:(I dont want to be put in a hole in the ground, i get a sort of panic attack when i see the hole in the ground of funerals i have been to ,, i have to stay as far back from it as possible.

I have spoken about this very subject lately and yes I know I would be dead and all there would be is an empty shell BUT no not cremation for me and you know why..........daft I know but its just to final. Its hard to describe how I feel and find it hard to put into words here.I have a dear little very old church in my village over looking all farmland with sheep. My mother is buried there as she died in the village although she never lived here and Im so glad she was allowed to be buried there.......I go there as often a I can and find it so comforting just sitting on the bench there looking at the scenery and talking to my mother.Ok shes not in that grave but I feel her presence and it uplifts me at times when I so need it.I will be there one day.........no cremation just a good a burial for me please.

Burial more than likely

although my in-laws have purchased entombement for all

which means - me & my husband and the two of them...

entombement/vault

is like something only Marilyn Monroe & Clark Gable would be place in..

We recently lost my FIL

I'd never seen anything like this - I guess I'm from the wrong side of the tracks.??

Huge beautiful marble Vault.??

absolute beautiful

I thought of Marilyn and having Joe De Maggio visting

I really won't care - if chosen to be cremated then fine

throw me around the HAWAIIAN ISLANDS

Aloha

The vaults are very beautiful Patsy, we have alot of cemetary's here that have them, , one reason they are known well for is because the person who passed or they're loved ones, do not or cannot phantom putting the deceased into the ground. Another reason is just the grace of it.
