Well, this is the best news I've seen today!:-6
If you happen to run into a friend of mine who is down there handing out food and water for red cross disaster relief out of peoria illinois... you tell him to keep his hind end dry!
They are waiting for Ike to be determind before they decide whether to head home or stay to assist..

I expressly forbid the use of any of my posts anywhere outside of FG (with the exception of the incredibly witty 'get a room already' )posted recently.

And now your going to have to go through Ike. Thinking about you SY. We had Hanna come right up the East coast, but it missed us and went more West.

We are starting to get feeder bands from IKE. but we have men here trying to cut down the tree. Hubby went to the Dr all this stress is making his blood pressure go wakey. We both are stressed and tired.:(But we do know it could have been a lot worse. We are counting our blessings:)

The tree is DOWN. Lower parishes(Counties) they are Mandatory evacuation. Not us as of now. we were on voluntary for Gustav. This one will be tricky. For us it is more storm serge then winds. we are about 60 miles from the coast. be safe everyone
