I do like some of the more current chick flicks, some of them are quite good. I also like pyscho thrillers. I can't watch anything with Zombies tho, they give me nightmares! :wah::wah:

:( you know where you can get one cheap? A pawn shop. most pawn shops. will give you a 30 day warranty on anything electrical. i have gotten stereos, TVs, vacuum cleaners and so on from pawn shops. Do they have Cash America's there??

I never thought of a pawn shop...whenever I think pawn shop, I think "stolen" :wah: I'm sure we have a Cash America here, but we just can't afford to pay them back...every cent we have is spoken for, and then some.

Yeah, the cost of living 10yrs ago was a lot lower than it is today. Wages haven't gone up enough to cover the actual cost of living today and it's making it harder and harder just to cover the necessities of everyday needs. It really is frustrating.:-5:-5

Yeah, we've had to go to store brand only, unless we've tried it and it's gross. We've cut so many corners, but it's still not enough.

what kills us too is Rx. my hubby is on four and myself i am on four myself. luckily the four i am on come in generic. his does not. with our insurance we get off brands for free. his with insurance is $188 a month. that is CRAZY. How high the insurance is:mad:

We have a day old bakery 5 blocks from where i work... 5 loaves of soft bread for 3 bucks... freeze it and it's still good for french toast and stuff ...:-6

I understand completely about the Rx's, thankfully I had neck surgery in March, so our deductible is met, so I get my $5000 worth of prescriptions for 3 months for no cost. I take 18 different prescriptions a day...that in itself is a nightmare.

Yeah, it happened Sunday. It just started making weird noises and was like some little explosions happening. We decided to not have the whole thing explode so we quit using it. We have an extra teenie tiny one in the basement but I don't think it's big enough to even put an egg in it. :wah:

My complaining and whining for today...our electric company decided to shut off power to our whole grid. They were trimming trees along the back fence away from the power lines. They said 2 hours...they started at 8am and finished at 1pm. Does that sound like 2 hours? Then the decided to use our front yard to dump all the tree crap , not the neighbors yards, but ours. I have no idea how many trees were in our yard from other yards. They finally just got done cleaning up my yard.

the cost of living here keeps going up, but our weekly paycheques do not.

everything has no increased............we cannot afford fresh vegetables, they are highly highly priced for a small amount, and this being summer, should be a cheaper time to buy them!

Even our own Ontario Peaches we have now for a month are sky-high, now that is just insane, c'mon, they are right here!

bread, a sheer loaf of bread is well over 2.00!

gas prices have now raised 4cents for our upcoming long weekend, they do this every weekend, but on the long ones raise it even higher!~

mortgage

property taxes,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,they rise on an average of 3% each year here!

water

electricity

cable

phone

car insurance for two vehicles

drug stores, prescriptions

groceries

odds and sods

geez!
