Colour obsessions
I seem to go through stages of being obsessed with certain colours, usually colour combinations. at the moment, I can't get enough of pink and black together. Hot pink, light pink, whatever...it excites me!
I have had purple months, and brown weeks. Green seems to attach it'self to me from time to time...
Anyone for a colour obsession?

Neopolitan ice cream?
I love any pastels with chocolate brown. Do you find you want to wear it, or decorate with it?

Purple is it...has been my whole life. If I can't have purple, then it's big cat (tigers, leopards, cheetahs etc..) If you look at my pics you'll understand.

I think a lot of people hate orange. I actually love it. I wear it and I decorate with it. I love it with blue. But, I probably lean more toward terracottas in decorating.
I used to sell furniture and homewares, and would often recommend an orange cushion for a navy couch. They are complimentary colours and it's an easy combo. People would often look horrified at the thought!
I'm gonna put it out there...do you think maybe it reminds you of something?

I used to feel the same way about that colour on a number of levels, too.

I decided to stick with neutrals for the last few years. I don't get tired of them. I'll just pick up a few more colourful things that are the main transitionals. They come and go but the rest of the wardrobe remains intact.

Hahhaa my guest bathroom is orange and yellow with daisies. It's very bright.
The only color I really dislike is the 70's harvest gold. It's just a dingy nasty color.

I painted a small 1/2 bath at home a burnt orange. I think its called Indian Summer. Its kind of a dark smoky orange. It looks great. Maybe when I go downstairs for my next cup of coffee Ill take a picture of it. We'll see.

Wow! That sounds fun. I think you can really be bold and creative in the guest rooms of your house.
