Live the questions now. Perhaps you will then gradually, without noticing it, live along some distant day into the answers...Rainer Maria Rilke

The weather is helping understand a bit about history and particularly the British Empire.
It comes down to rain.
First of all after too much of it, you end up in a rotten mood and would do anything to get out of the rain, even if it meant invading another country.
And did you ever notice how the British Empire usually involved hot places, India, Pakistan, Jamaica, the Bahamas, and Gibraltar and so on.
The English didn’t want to rule the world... they just wanted to get the hell out of the rain and go somewhere hot.

Actually, we are missing out on the next big business opportunity; we should build the biggest freak’en water reservoir in the world and start the business of large scale exporting of clean water.
That will be the next biggest world demand, fresh water.
Can you imagine coming from Ireland, not oil pipelines, but pipelines and tankers of fresh water going to some of the driest part of the world to replenish their own water reserves.
I think that I am on to something here, anybody want to go into business together?

Oh I would take the rain any day! It's been so freaking hot here, and with the wind blowing, it feels like a giant blowdryer.
