Thanks for putting a damper on my day, ducky. Well, it'll be here soon enough, huh? Supposed to go to a pig roast this weekend with one friend. And my other friend wants me to go to her daughter's field hockey tournament with her. I need to finish cleaning out the apartment cuz I hand in the keys next week. I'd rather go to the tournament, to tell ya the truth!

But I still haven't finished the NEW place & I have to shampoo the carpets & mop the kitchen in the OLD place. I probably still won't get the security deposit back.

I know a guy who is a landlord and they just hire a cleaning crew to come in and clean after a tenant moves out. they also repaint and sometimes carpet the apt.

Yeah, that would be nice. I'm going to bed in awhile, as long as I don't ache tomorrow. I have to play the piano and direct the choir for my friend's memorial service, that will be very hard. I think I have it easier than the choir, I won't have to look when they sing, it breaks my heart to see her husband cry for her. :-1

I dont really have anything. No miraculous news or earth shattering info. No material here, just a dried up brain with nothing of any importance or meaningful value in there. Kind of like a slug, thats what I am, a slug brain. Im just staring out the window, no thought process whatsoever. For all I know I have a puddle of drool in my lap.

My neighbor is playing his guitar out back and singing and the neighbors are clapping when he gets done with a set and now is starting another one. What a beautiful sound on a hot day.

It was cooler down in DC too, no sun until the afternoon. They had tour groups cruising by on the sedgeways, I was trying not to laugh outside the Archives, since they were all snapping pictures.....

Phooey school news-they might change my teaching schedule, less than 3 weeks before I go back. I might teach two subjects, one a new curriculum to me. Very uncool.

100 degrees & sunny here. Did lots of yardwork. Tamping sand (different from pounding) is not for the out-of-shape. The hot bath & cold beer helped. :-6

Ah, I wish summer would last forever, I am so happy at home this year. It's the nicest summer I've had for quite a few yeas.

Unprepared-ghads AC, I already have over week of lessons written, that's why I was fussing if they give me another prep. I won't know until maybe Friday-that's cutting it close for me.

Two content leaders to boss me around, oh my........
