that's always been my problem too, most of the dogs i've had haven't been to fond of cats!:(

Good morning Hope :-6 My two Miniature Pinschers think the kitten is a rabbit. Right now, I have the kitten in her own room separated from the dogs. I want to make sure the vet gives the kitten a clean bill of health before I introduce the kitten to the dogs. My older cat (Babe) is jealous and just keeps hissing at it. TG I have 7 bedrooms and the animals can have their own rooms.

thats great that you have a way of keeping them separate! :-6

i had 2 dogs that kept trying to kill my moms cat, she lives next door to me, we have a outdoor pen so we would swap, when we had the dogs in the pen she would let the cat outside and when we wanted to let them out she would put the cat back up! :wah::wah:

Okay, so help me out here Hope :wah: I have Miss Piggy outside in a pen (see my profile pics), should I like put the pig in the house, and put the dogs in the pen, then, take the the dogs in, and let the cats in the pen? :wah::wah: Man, I'm tired all ready :p

I need lots of hugs please!:(

i've got to take Jacob for his 2 year old check up today! Oh i'm dreading it so much, he hates going to the doctor with a passion! The last time they had to take blood it took 3 of us to hold him down!

he's crying and screaming for momma, and there's nothing i can do about it!

i usually come out of there crying about as badly as he is!

yeah i guess that can be a very traumatic experience for a mother hope!

went for my own annual checkup on tuesday and was told ...

"everything is within the parameters" ... doctorspeak?

guess it means i'm okay!

My middle daughter was like that, she's 20 and still needs her hand held.:wah:

Before your hugs, let me make a recommendation for you...as mommy, don't help hold him down. Let them do it and he'll probably be better for just them and not sense your fears and sadness so much...then, after THEY have done the bad stuff, you swoop right in and comfort him...it makes mommy his hero that saves him...not the one to inflict the pain. Just my thoughts and years of experience. Ok, since I'm done with my blabbering, here's your hugs!:yh_hugs:yh_hugs:yh_hugs:-4

i even had the nurse asking me if i was alright! now thats pretty bad! :wah::wah:

something they do here when kids have to have needles at school is they bring in a life size teddy bear. the kids cuddle him as they get their injections. Hospitals have them too . Might be something to bring up with your doctor.

So, how was Jacobs Dr appt? Is he feeling ok after getting his shots? (did he get shots? It's been so long I don't remember the timetables!) Do you need more hugs?:wah::wah:

there was a mix up with the appointments and he didn't get to see the doctor!:-5
