Where is the crime?
Numerous Fundamental Freedoms of this women have violated and the child has been unlawfully detained.

Judging by previous posts regarding this thread, I respect and agree with the majority of opinions/perspectives presented. (Spot's included)

I think some for sure, all of them maybe? It will depends on the woman's ability to comprehend & defend her and the child's rights. She may also choose to bow down and crawl back under the rock in which she came - leaving the child detained?
I look forward to the upcoming Law Society of Upper Canada's report, as well as any future hearings, appeals etc. regarding this case.

Every parent has the right and the obligation to raise their children in the best way they know how. That includes impressing their beliefs on their children. To not do so, to raise a child with no foundation of right or wrong (regardless if you agree with that foundation) is to allow the child to grow up feral. Which does more harm?
