They respond to every post (not every thread, every POST) with some sort of comment such as "maybe this would be better in x" or "we answered this question in January 1986, if you would bother to use the search function" or even something non-related, just so you know that it's THEIR board and that THEY'RE in charge...I don't know if it's rude, but it's certainly irritating!!

And you won't see this either. All of us MODs lost our jobs a month or so ago and it doesn't look like we'll ever get them back. It's just the two owners on their own now, and they RARELY if ever mod anything.

Supposedly, we are all just "in limbo" until they restructure the mod process and straighten out a few rules. Then we're supposed to get our jobs back. But as the time has flowed by without any word from Tombstone or Anastrophe, I'm getting the feeling that "limbo" is going to be more or less permanent.

Which is funny really. I didn't mod much when I was one anyway, and Anastrophe went to great lengths to make sure that I understood that it was "nothing I did, just a restructuring."

but somehow, that doesn't take the sting away, know what I mean?

It's kind of like when your parents take away a toy that you liked because it had proven to be dangerous, but you still missed the toy anyway and no amount of explaining made the loss any better.

Wow! that explains a lot. I wondered what had happened. I didn't realize what had happened with the moderators. Things have been different in a strange way.

You know what's funny? I don't really miss moderating. Being a mod, you have to take a more "neutral" stance with a lot of subjects to keep peace and to help regulate the flow of discussions. I'm not a "Switzerland" kinda gal, and it was damn hard at times not to just open up with both barrels on some dufus. Not that I didn't lose it from time to time and do just that, but had I done it every time the spirit moved me, I would have been "de-modded" quite a while back.

Nope, I don't miss it....I much more enjoy being able to say what I want (within reason) when I want.

I think Jives is a much more suitable person to shoulder the moderating responsibilities than I am. Much more level-headed, open-minded, and objective. Should they reinstate moderators here, I would nominate Jives and not volunteer myself.

I guess it worked, my friends send at least 3 or 4 of these gems every other day. I filter out the real, real bad ones. This was risky, but after the Butt pic going into the car was posted, I thought I'd give this one a try! (Hope it does not really offend anyone)

I'd like to see a few mods in here just so I don't wake up in the morning and have to get through all the spam to read the real forums. Even a mod just for spam. Can you tell spammers annoy me?:-5

Good grief Far, before long you’ll be wanting donuts just because Lady Cop gets them. This could get to be time consuming. The rest of the people here have lives too. :yh_worshp ;)

Initally my post was going to be "What is a scoan?"

Sites that warn are cool.

Hate to be banned and not even know why.

If someone is rude to me on a forum I just try and take a break from that forum. As there are lost of forums.

Well I need to get back into E-mail land and respond to responces by E-mail notification.

Not responding on occasions in a timely manner is one of my party fowels.

I agree!

I also hate being labeled.

I put alot of energy and research into the last forum I was with. Just to be labeled as dull and boring. Now I'm finding it hard to get enthused. But I'm still trying!:o
