I live in Virginia, but I believe my friend Carol is in Essex. I live British people. In fact, my best friend was born and raised in North Shields, near Newcastle!

Pretty good. thanks. I'm very briefly in Canberra (where it's literally freezing) from Sydney (where the sun is shining and the Pope is visiting) This Forum is my home ground. Always was... grin. I rarely post anywhere else these days. Mostly a time thing. Thanks, everyone! Good to see you again, G-Man, Librtyhead, and Pam!! I'm doing well these days. I'm trying to stay cool, with high humidity and oppressive heat we've been having. The heat wave is here until Tuesday. Temp has been about 38 deg. C!! The humidity is the hardest to take.

How are things going with you, Pam? I hope you are able to get back to Sydney soon!!

Things are going ok. Everyone is feeling well, except my husband has a terrible sinus infection. This area is known for everyone getting really bad chronic sinusitis.The business is still slow, so we may be looking for other jobs at the end of the summer. Charlie (the dog) is doing great!!

My father is going to 97 on July 22!! I hope I've inhherited his longevity genes!! He still has his own apt and can take care of himself. Doesn't even use a cane to walk!

Hi Luv, wow that is great for your dad. I know this heat/humidity is horrible. Sat on the deck for a bit, but had to come in every 20 min. and get some coolness.:wah:

I had the White House send my Dad a birthday card. For anyone who doesn't know, you can have a card sent to any American over the age of 80 (info is on their website).
