Arrabiatta (Prawn)
Arrabiatta sauce (i usually just buy a pot of fresh sauce from morrisons or wherever)
Tinned tomatoes
large onion
large pepper ( green, red yellow it dont matter)
Prawns
seasoning ~ salt, pepper, black pepper, a little bit chilli powder, and cayenne pepper.
Pasta ~ whatever you fancy really, spaghetti, shapes, linguini, Shells.
start the pasta cooking,,, everyone knows how to do that;)
Then i use a wok, put in a little oil, add sliced onions and peppers for a good few minutes, then add the prawns, cook a while longer(medium heat), then add the sauce, tinned tomatoes and al the seasoning, and cook for a further five minutes or so,,,more or less by the time the pasta cooks the sauce is ready, drain pasta, put on plates, add the Arrabiatta sauce, and enjoy!:D
You can substitute the prawns for Chicken , or even vegetables if you are vegetarian.
Chunky Beef and Pasta Stew
Braising beef
onions, Leeks, carots, swede, parsnip, potatoes.
Pasta Shells.
can or packet of oxtail soup
any type of beefy packet sauce mix
salt, pepper, black pepper, 2 oxo cubes.
butter or margerine.
melt a good amount of butter or marg in a big pan. add the onions and leeks chopped up and cook till softish, add the veg, the veg should be chopped up really chunky, not diced or small pieces, nice big chunky pieces. keep stirring as you add and let it seal for a couple of minutes each time you add a veg,,, then add the beef again chopped in to nice size pieces and cook and stir till its sealed all round. then add water along with the oxtail soup and beefy sauce mix, and add the sesoning and oxos too. Its just judgement really how much liquid to add depending on how big a pan and how many you are cooking for. let this simmer slowly for about half an hour or more till the veg is nearly cooked, then add 2 or 3 good handfuls of pasta shells. Once you add the pasta it has to be stirred quite often so it dont stick to the bottom and let it cook for a futher 15 mins,. turn off the heat and cover and leave for at least an hour so the pasta really swells,,,the stew should be wuite thick and not soupy:D
sorry i dont have proper measurments for the amounts of stuff but i never weigh anything i just guess:wah:Kaz so well done
