Hi Minks, JAB, Kathy, Muktang, Idgie, Duckie!! The Irish brekkie looks WONDERFUL!!!!

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh... happy memories!!

This snippet was in yesterday's newspaper. Reportedly seen at a cafe in Jugiong - a country town a bit south of Canberra...

"Sit down, shut up and eat what you're given - $10"

This seems to be an ausssie equivalent to the French "Table d'hote"

I like it - :sneaky:

Now, back to that lovely bacon and JAB's booze... :D

Idgie;912866 wrote: How about if I just post it at Kathy Ellen's drink thread?! :) Then, you can copy it from there.

I like frozen drinks in the summer. Taste more like ice cream and quite refreshing. :)

Sounds good to me, I will be copying them from there.

Frozen drinks on real hot days are so good! :-4

Another version of that drink is where you can add a bit of chocolate to the mixture too. Now that would probably make it taste more like a milkshake! :)

Was just over there and made a copy of it can't wait to try it out. I'm not big on the chocolate things in drinks. But sounds good anyway.

Idgie;912888 wrote: I've gotta decide what would be good to BBQ outside this weekend. :-3 Got plenty of yard work to catch up on and bushes to trim back. Something simple and quick.

Think tonight I'm gonna make pulled pork sandwiches, with a acouple of sides to go with it. :-4

Just about anything done outside will be good on the BBQ. Heck I'm happy with just a plain old hotdog done on the grill. I got a little mowing to do myself this weekend but will not take very long for me. BTW what time is dinner tonight and i will bring the wine. :-4

Hello to all....hope all are well tonight.

Today I had one of the most beautiful days with my family this summer....We had brekke at a little cafe overlooking the Barnegat Bay, spent hours at the beach looking at 6 ft waves created by Hurricane Bertha, ordered Italian food and Lobster rolls and ate together on the patio drinking lovely wine, took Orla (sil's beautiful sheltie) for a long walk along the bay and watched the sun set, play scrabble...I lost:-1 and ended the night watching the stars...saw a comet:-6

Here's some pics of the beach today....

Find Ducky's daughter in the Atlantic...hehehe....

uggh, hubby has been bugging me for years to vacay in the mountains. I'm a beach chick. Went to Potter Co. once and was bored to tears except for the pond which we swam at. Not bad but I like the beach better.

Why not try separate vacation then? He can have a good time in the mountains with his buddies and you can be a cool beach chickie with the girls. :D

Hahahaha. We did that years ago. Went with my girlfriends to Potter and drank, swam, drank, swam and had a great time. Hubby stayed home with daughter. He really doesn't care as he's getting away from work.:wah:
