Older Men vs. Younger Men
Older Men vs. Younger Men
All right ladies,
Jj's thread about older women make better lovers, raised some interesting questions!
it's time to get down to it and answer that age-old question about age. Not ours - the men! Who is better: A younger man or an older man?
Older men are set in their ways. By the time a man reaches his 30s he has already developed a pretty distinct sense of self. Add the bachelor factor into the equation and what you’re left with is a man who is accustomed to having things done his way in a manner that he is comfortable with. Spontaneity has been replaced by routine.
Older men are relationship-inept. Yes, the arguments will be more tempered and less irrational, but the older man is also quick to blame the woman for being irrational or less experienced in matters of life. With more age comes more failed relationships, chances are that the older man has not grown significantly from his former relationships.
Older men either want something serious or non-committal. A older man knows what he wants and falls into one of two categories: determined to get married, or determined not to get married. A woman with less concretely defined ideas around the subject of matrimony is forced to chose between the man that wants to fall head-over-heals in love immediately and a man that is resolute against a serious relationship (and consequently not available to love anyone but themselves)
Dating an older man does come with benefits. Maturity is certainly one of the biggest and more obvious factors. Mature men tend to know themselves a little better than younger boys. They typically aren’t as sexually motivated, either, but that doesn’t mean lovemaking suffers. They can be mature between the sheets, too, knowing more and taking a different approach to pleasure. Older men are more established and farther along in their careers, and security is a nice benefit of tying yourself to a steady life. If you find the right older man, a big helping of bliss could be in your future!
Younger men are experimental. A man in his 20s is rearing to try everything under the sun. From his under-developed outlook on politics and life matters to his willingness and eagerness to explore all facets of the bedroom, the younger man is searching for rich experiences and is not afraid of stepping outside his comfort zone. He’s adventurous, hopeful, ambitious, and craving knowledge. Simply put, the younger man is just plain fun to be around.
Younger men, are also something to be feared by an older woman. At the very least he subjects the woman to being scrutinized by society and being labeled a cougar. In addition, a younger man can bring with him financial instability, professional ambiguity, dating inexperience, sexual inexperience, and social ineptitude.
younger men are just that - young. Sometimes they have no idea what they want, who they are or where they are going. Sometimes they still live in a dorm-like atmosphere with three roommates, dirty laundry piled on the twin bed and the Sony Play Station in full view. Sometimes they still live with mommy. Maybe you'll get lucky and he'll invite you over for a play date.
So c'mon everybody, what's your opinion?

I got the best of both worlds I caught him young and eager and Ive kept him, now hes older just as eager but age has forced him to slow down slightly. And theres no truth in the saying that you cant teach an old dog new tricks my OH is top of the class.
Looking around though, If I were single I wouldn't bother, just get a dog for company and something with batteries for the other!:wah:

I'll take an older one each day of the week and twice on Sunday.
The fact that men age more gracefully contributes to my decision. My hubby is 5 years older and just gets more devistatingly handsome while I get more wrinkles! It will take me a while to look older with our age gap though!

Are we discussing "older" men or "old men"? My hubby would be considered by most an "old man". But sisters, let me tell you..................
There is smoke in the chimney, and there is a fire in the fireplace.

Older Men vs. Younger Men
My two ducats worth...
There has been only one man in my life who was older and that was just by two years. Younger men are more fun to be with. You can train them easier. Ok, I'm only partly kidding there. But really, older men come with ex-wives, kids, alimony, mortgages and debt. I have none of that (except the debt) and don't want any either. As long as they're not *too* young all is good. Too young and they're selfish dicks in bed and pretty much everywhere else too. Too young and they won't remember your birthday. Too young and they're still keeping their options open because they might find someone better. (As if!)
Too old and you might get seconds but forget thirds and fourths. Forget spur of the moment trips and plans because there are too many things that need to be taken care of first. For sure older men have their benefits (like security) and I don't mean to be insulting to them at all, but I'm still having fun and I'll take a younger man any day.
