The majority of issues with a jumping cursor when typing can be resolved adjusting the Touchpad settings within Windows. If the Touchpad icon in the systray is double clicked, a Mouse Properties dialog box should appear. Select the Tapping tab and go down to the Typing section towards the bottom of the window. Left click on the box by 'Tap off when typing' to put a tick in it. Then use the slider bar on the right to set a moderate delay. This will disable the tap to click option when typing and re-enable it a short time after the last key press.

Hi Carol

The system tray is located in the Windows Taskbar, usually at the bottom right corner next to the clock. Al your icons like internet connection, clock, msn, antivirus will be there in miniature icons, your touch pad icon will be there. So double click on it and then the pad properties will pop up. If you have a mouse plugged in you might not see the pad settings. Then do what they tell you to do.:D

HI Kay:DCarol, Hope:D dried me hair got me straighteners warming up now.

Now i know this is probably not the place to ask,, but im thinking of buying an external hard drive, you can get one for about 60 quid, theres one for that price at pcworld with 500gb on it, if i got one and transferred a load of stuff on to there would it make my computer quicker and more efficient?? my son has loads of i tunes stored on here for one thing:rolleyes:

I cant stress enough how good an external hard drive is Kaz. If you save everything to it including programmes like anti virus ect you will see a huge improvement to the speed of your pc. Also if your pc ever goes bang, you wont lose anything cos it will be on your external hard drive. I have a seagate and i paid aroung 60 quid for it. Get the biggest you can afford as theirs not much difference in price to a 350 gb to a 500gb except you will prolly never fill a 500gb lol.
