Things we miss/Remeber these?

I was sitting at home looking at a movie on VHS...remember those? I started thinking about how people don't sell VHS tapes in stores anymore. Everything is DVD now. What are some things you've noticed disappearing/will disappear or disappeared from our lives technology, food, clothing, etc.?

I would say:

VHS

Land line phones (everyone uses cell phones now)

Cassette tapes

Floppy disk

Phonebooths

What else?

When my oldest was a baby we had a warming dish that you would plug into the wall and fill with water and it would keep her dinner warm. Havn't seen them since. Now they just want you to nuke their dinner, yuk.:-2

I used clothe diapers with my kids and they all were potty trained early.

Kiwi polish - hubby uses it & I used to use it on kids white training shoes

Unwashed Levi's - yes

Walking to school - yup, they do that too, but no lunch walk home, sigh.

Dr. Spock - said it like it is. More parent's should read this book.

I used to buy those inexpensive VHS tapes and record movies. I still have the collection.............also still have a VHS player. Just no time to watch 'em.

Game cartridges. I remember I use to blow the cartridge for my Nintendo. Had to clear the dust out or atleast I thought it was dust in it :wah:

Those nasty wax candies that u drank the juice out of..or the ones that were shaped like fruit and u shook the powder out of them...LOL

having your family be able to walk you to your plane and watch you take off instead of hugging you at the car when they drop you off...

Ice cold GLASS bottles of pop..(soda)

Ice cream shops...they are few and far between here in Iowa..

Oh boy I still remember the days I spent blowing the dust off my Nintendo cartridges, infact I still do, even though sadly a lot of my old games now no longer work.

I also still have lots of old classic VCR movies and things that I recorded from my childhood on tape, but we don't have a VCR player now, they have all become useless, which is really sad.

Also all my old TV show annuals that I used to collect every year and collect from all kinds of shows. I would have the whole set, with action figures and t-shirts you name it, I had them, like a real mad man, but I loved every minute of it!! :p
