In an earlier thread I mentioned a Muslim cleric convicted of encouraging his followers to train and fight against the infidels (that's us). Here are the news articles on his life sentence. I posted two because they show different takes.

Fair conviction for treason, or violation of free speech?

I feel if he incited followers to take an active role against America, he should be convicted of treason and put to death. I don't understand the life sentence at all.
