Comming out to my Mum
I'm wanting to tell my Mum that i'm Gay but i don't have the guts to do it i feel really bad not telling her because i've told all my friends i'm Gay and i think she'd be upset if she found out from someone else. I got no idea how to tell her never done it before, i know she will be fine with it cause she got nuttin against Gay People but i'm abit envous if she changes when i eventualy get round to telling her
"Why not just tell people I'm an alien from Mars. Tell them I eat live chickens and do a voodoo dance at midnight. They'll believe anything you say, because you're a reporter. But if I, Michael Jackson, were to say, 'I'm an alien from Mars and I eat live chickens and do a voodoo dance at midnight', people would say, 'Oh, man, that Michael Jackson is nuts. He's cracked up. You can't believe a damn word that comes out of his mouth.' " Michael Jackson

Having been on the receiving end of this, here's my nickel's worth: if you're sure she will be fine with it cause she got nuttin against Gay People then tell her as good news that you've found for yourself. If you can trust her, then trust her.

Ahhhh Darren :-6
That's a tough one for you. You know your mom loves you...just be honest and tell her. Take her out for a walk in a garden or for coffee....things can be:-6 so peaceful when you're in a nice setting:-6
Good luck....:-6

Having also been on the receiving end of this (with my brother - as we have already chatted about), I can only say that I have no problem with anyones sexuality and I love my brother deeply. So, as you said, she will probably be fine about it (and may already of guessed, as I did), you may have to give her time to absorb the info, or she may be relieved that you finally told her. It's very difficult to really know how she will take this, but I would say you need to do it and soon. You really don't want her finding out from anyone else, and I'm assuming that you don't want to hide this from her.
Good luck Darren :-4

Your mother probably already knows... or has at least suspected. No one knows you like your mom. Im certain that she is like most mothers. Her love for you will not waiver in the least. Her concerns will be that this lifestyle can be difficult, in our very difficult world. Assure her that you are aware of the dangers, and make her feel confident that you will excercise caution in the choices you make, and she should be fine.

Your her son.....her flesh and blood and she may not give you any clues but she may already know and hasn't said anything because you haven't.If you love somebody...........you love that person and having known many Gay people in my life and some being best friends of mine Im sure your a son many mother would be proud of.Be gentle telling her and make it known to her that nothing changes and you are still her son, but dont be surprised as I have already that she dont tell you she already knew.Good Luck sweetheart;)

I think it would be way harder to worry about hiding it from her. Good luck to you.
