:wah: "SuperChinaTeapot." *snork!*
FB, I thought what you had seen would be much worse than this but I do see your point. At first I thought that model was maybe 18 or so dolled up to look like a kid.Seeing the underwear doesn't bother me, it covers more than a swimsuit for sure, but I do think the puppet props and hairdo are a bit much. I have seen double ponytails (we call them pigtails if they sit low) on 20 somethings and I think it looks ridiculous but then it wasn't that long ago that was the style for that age group too. Well...60s-70s, I might be off.
But the puppets plus the hairdo plus having little Mickeys all over your underpinnings all combine to say "Hey Mr; got any candy?"
So yeah...yucck. :-3

That's just wrong! Not really that revealing, but still the message it sends, it's just wrong! :wah:

i dont think its wrong for young girls to wear bras and knickers, even if it does look like something i might wear myself. Its not a particularly raunchy set, but i do think its off that a child posing in her underwear is on a billboard campaign.
If thats in china though, i think thats one of the least of their bad points

How do you mean? You mean seeing us as child pornographer types? I wouldn't be because we're talking China and they emulate everything just about in western culture only they go overboard usually. So I would say it's their own doing, myself.

Yeah thats wrong, I wouldnt want my kids to be swayed by that billboard into thinking that was ok for them to wear.
FB, your so spot on about the pony tails...My girls at 10 and 8 totally insist on low ponytails/plaits etc..
The age of consent in China is 14, compared with 18 in Disney's home state of California.
I wasnt aware the age of consent was 14????

I am going to look for the Des Moines Register story tonight and will post it...but the 12 - just turned 13 yr old...neighbor is pregnant...
I was horrified...Do I blame the child?? Ummm yes---do I BLAME the PARENT!!!!!!!! HELL YES!!! She let this 17 yr old boy move in with them...No one is doing anything about it..The school where I work, has called DHS several times and nothing---not a thing...I believe that in today's society, as parents, we need to take a second look and talk -talk -talk--to our kids..You can walk into the Limited Too where my 10 yr old likes to shop and find a pair a girls panties that should be in VICTORIAs SECRET
