More than a 100,000 spectators crammed County Waterford in Southern Ireland yesterday for the Tall Ships Race. Teams from Britain,France,Germany,Russia and Ireland took part. The 2005 Tall Ships race is now heading to Cherbourg-Octeville in France before sailing to Gateshead in England and then finally onto Norwegian port of Fredrikstad.

I love the tall ships. They are beautiful and majestic to behold. They have an aura and grace no vessel of today can match.

I'm rooting for the Eagle, it is a beautiful ship and has a top crew. My husband works for the Coast Guard, and they are very proud of their vessel.
