Naw just kidding.

This is for the English foreigners.

I see Eddie Izzard will be in town, I saw a one man show on tv ages ago and I thought he was a genius.

Is he ?

Can anyone recommend him or does he blow ?

That really is pretty vile Nomad. I spent twenty minutes with an infant watching a couple of Gorillas grooming this afternoon and there's precious few of them left. There's 5 million tons of wildlife killed for meat in Central Africa every year and you're joking about "gorillas are killers"?

Oh for the love of all that is good in the world !

Could you please just once in your life stay on topic ?

This thread is about something much deeper than monkies picking nits off of each other.

Its about the human experience.

Its about the realm of civilization, its about dreams, its about 6:45 pm.

Its about lots of things.

Cant you see this spock ?

spot: How can you say that! Mama's paternal cousin twice wemoved in the colonial service was wipped, nay, wended by a wampaging gowilla.:-1

Faced with you, I'd pity the gowilla.:p

Nomad: Eddie is a - hmm. Libel laws occur to me. VERY interesting character AND a genius.:lips:

No, not a word of it. I'm remembering the two gorillas at the zoo this afternoon and a thread title saying "Circus Gorilla Escapes & Kills 7" and the complete and utter downer the latter invokes, given the former.

Oh... Eddie Izzard. Does he blow? So rumour has it. I'm sure his stage act is worth attending too.

spot: As it happens I've only caught a little because I don't watch tv much. The good stuff was good, though. Whether he can hit the nail on the head in America... that's a whole different question. :) And I don't know the answer. (guessing) He could very possibly become a cult hit.

I'm under the impression that most of his success has been on the US club circuit, not the English. I don't own a tv.

Nomad: Everything I've seen about Eddie says he's got a good chance of being a hit, if you're on his wavelength. He's done well with the "family" market over here, but has an edge. If your're asking, "Should I watch him?" I'd say yes.

I like Eddie Izzard, he does have a good sense of humour if you ask me, so if you are able to see him I would recommend it. Not been to one of his shows though, so I would say expect the unexpected if you do decide to go, because anything may happen with him!! :p

There's a series of movies called Ocean's (number) - Mr Ocean is one of the chief characters in the movies. Eddie Izzard plays one of the other roles, that of a consultant technician, though he avoids wearing a frock and cardigan.

In the Ocean movies, he's one of Mr. Ocean's group he plays a character named Rusty Ryan.

but he's done quite a few other movies, Thelma and Louise, Seven, Fight Club, Mr. and Mrs Smith, Legends of the Fall, Meet Joe Black, just to name a few, lets just say he's very popular over here!:)
