hello everyone

hope everyone is doing well!:)

i'm doing good but i think Jacob may be getting sick, when he talks his voice sounds kinda funny, like he might be getting choked up!:(

Hi Hope. Little Jacob may have a sore throat, can you see into his mouth and is it inflamed? Also, has he got a temperature? He may be getting a cold. Just have to keep your eye on him Hope. If his throat is sore, it may be a good idea to pop along to the docs with him.

well he doesn't have a fever yet, and he looks like he feels good, it's just that he sounds funny. i have to admit this kinda thing gets me upset, i don't know anything about sick babies i've never been around children much and Jacob's only been sick enough to go to the doctor once before in his life! the only one i have to ask an opinion of besides you guys is my mom and she says just watch him close and if he sounds that way much longer take him to the doctor.

Well that is all you can do at the moment, Oh and give him plenty of fluid to drink. Children are pretty tough, but you just have to be vigilant. They don't need fussing over, just carry on as usual, but just keep an eye on him. There's nothing better than a mother's instinct, and you will know if there is a change in him, and if you are not happy, then pop him along to the doc's.

Well it is 1.30 am here, and time I was in bed, particularly as I've not slept very well for several days, but hopefully tonight I may do a bit better.

Well latesha leaves sson to go to her nans. She has had a nice lavender bath and is in her new clothes.

hope jacob is feeling better, dont worry too much, babies dont come with books on how to look after them

but as gill said, your basic mothering instinct kicks in and you just know what to do:)

a caravan is a bit like a camper but it has no engine and you tow it behind your car to whatever destination takes your fancy EXCEPT if its like our carol's !!:rolleyes: then it stays on a site and you can live in it.

Hi Hope, a caravan is a 'trailer' (USA) towed by a car etc. which has similar functions to a motorhome or 'camper', but the towing vehicle is detached when you park the caravan up, and is independant of the 'living' accomodation. You can also have an 'awning' which is attached to the caravan and acts as an extra 'room' , doubling it's living area. We have this sort of set-up, except our towing vehicle is a Volvo, the one in my avatar.

I know we have some neighbors that have a huge camper that they take when they go on vacation it drives itself and they tow a car along behind it to use after they park the camper when they get where ther're going.

i also have some relatives who have one that they pull with a pick-up truck, they unhook from the truck and drive that when they get to their destination. i've never seen anything like it before, their camper is hugh and it's nicer than some peoples houses!:wah:

Jacob hasn't woke up yet this morning so i'll have to wait to see if he's feeling better, he slept through the night and seems to be resting comfortably.

we have campers like that here but no one leaves them in one place, they just use them to go on vacation!:wah:

Well, that's good. My kids get out at 2pm today. They get out every Friday at that time. Although I feel bad for two older ones, they have to still wear the sweater vest at leasst today is the last day for that thing:wah:
