Why not tell us what you want instead of posting a link mini?

ps: Depends how old you are!

But for the record I'd go with the parents every time. :D

sorry...

i want to buy 15 people to earn me money.

it is tottaly legit!

what you do is click ads.

and by clicking ads and veiwing them for 30 secs and you get 5 cents!

and buying the people...they do the clicking for you and its multiple clicks. this would be my earnings

» 15 referrals click 10 ads per day = $1.50

» Your daily earnings = $1.50

» Your weekly earnings = $10.50

» Your monthly earnings = $45.00

thanks

On-line shopping is very little different to going to the shop - you can buy crāp just as easily. The main difference is that it's more risky.

There are three main risks, firstly, your card details are far less secure, secondly, you cannot guarantee receipt of your goods (that reminds me - must chase) and thirdly, the goods that do arrive might not match your expectations.

Yes, once you are of age then you're old enough to take care of yourself. As a parent that never stopped me worrying about the kids being hurt and trying to help them avoid it.

Looking at the site you linked to - it looks as dodgy as hell to me and I'd advise my kids against it.

It is your money to do with as you will - it's your choice how you part with it.

When I was young and had no dependants I had so much disposable income it barely mattered what I wasted (I worked hard, I earned it, I spent it - all of it). As soon as I had a family I was so poor I didn't know where the next penny was coming from and I was glad that I'd learnt to take care of what I had.

Do not be too hard on them for trying to guide you.

You've not said what it'll cost you but I think there's a good argument for them saying okay, try it since you're so convinced. If you go ahead and buy it then either they'll be right and you'll have wasted the money or you'll be right and you'll make more than you put in. Either way someone's going to learn something by doing it. The problem with not doing it is that neither they nor you will discover who was mistaken

Hi MM....

I didn't quite understand what it is you're wanting to buy but I got the idea that you' want to pay for that company to get people to click the link so you get more money?

Well, you're in a bit of a pickle. I voted yes and I do understand your point about wanting to spend the money you earned in the way you see fit. That's a good point.

However, I believe I can understand your parents' side of things too. I'm betting it's not so much that they think it's a waste of your money, but rather they don't want to see you get ripped off by this company. I'm sure in their lifetime, they've been taken advantage of a time or two and they don't want to see that happen to you. That may seem overprotective but that's what parents tend to do, they look out for your best interests.

Maybe if you give them more time to think about it, they might be willing to let you try it once and see what happens. Maybe the three of you could work out a compromise that would make everyone happy.

A word of advice...be willing to talk out this problem in a respectful way and be willing to hear your parents' side of things if you want them to listen to yours too. If you just get mad about it, they will think you're too young to handle things and that's how they'll treat you. But if you show them you're growing up and learning to make your own decisions, they may treat you more as the adult you're working to become.

:)

Even though its quite clear to me that your parents dont know anything and theyre just too old to understand, in this instance Id say find another means to reinvest your hard earned dollars.

You earned you spend it. If its a bad deal you won't have anymore money to spend. That's what us old folk call learning a lesson the hard way. ;) Also means you will never do it again. Good luck sounds a bit suspisious to me click to earn money.:-2

Good rule to remember if it sounds, or seems to good to be true it usually is.

At least he's not joined Mara Salvatrucha. There are worse potential problems than his winning the poll, you're still ahead in the game.

Well, my dear....many people have given you great advice and food for thought....I am with the parents on this one too....but before you stop reading my post hear me out....

I am one of those dumb-bunnies that have been sucked into the scam that you want to spend your money on, honey...its a scam....your money will be gone and then there you are, nothing to show for it, I have gone through this so many times, and finally learned the hard way. I wish I had people telling me NOT to do it, but I didn't.

I am ashamed to admit this to be honest, but I am hoping that my confession will help you understand that its not what you think its going to be and your parents see that, and because they are your parents, well, like Nomie said....they know nothing and they are old....but this time, they DO know what they are doing by guiding you away from a bad situation.

My advice would be, to sock your money away, save it for a rainy day....perhaps save up for something that you can show for the investment. OR, just save your money for your future, in about what 4-5 short years, you will need all the money you can get your hands on....and you would be thankful you saved it this long and appreciate it more, because it took you a long time of savings to accumulate your wealth!:-4:-6

That's one of the finest posts I ever saw Wendy. It really is.

MiniMe, one of your ForumGarden homies just laid it out plain and she's a bit red-faced over it. Believing her is the best payment.

I reckon with a lot of these schemes there's two things at work. One is that if you can see a logical path by which it could be true then it's easy to switch to thinking it's honest. The other is that if you get really desperate then something slips in your head and the eased tension is worth so much that you just go deluded in order to feel better for a while. That's the underlying reason why those Nigerian scams that everyone really knows are frauds still pick up ten victims with every million spams they send out. I suspect it might be even more than that, but it happens because if it were true then their troubles and worries would all be over in an instant.

I have strong grounds for thinking it was first coined by my Grandmother before the war. My father was with one of his school friends and they went into the house for a glass of water. Introducing him, he started saying this was a classmate when he stopped and got sidetracked into saying he couldn't be a classmate because they weren't in the same classes, but they shared the same homeroom where they had a desk each. I'm pleased to meet you Maurice, she said, and for ever after she called him my father's home boy which soon became contracted to "how's your homie?". How it crossed the Atlantic I'm not sure but it's obviously an English term.

Minime - what you're forgetting is that before we are allowed to become parents we have to get special knowledge that is only given to parents - the ability to always be right! Sorry my dear but parents are always right and one day this will be your privilege too - use it wisely!!!

But even better is when you become grandparents - because grandparents always know more than parents and our knowledge is far superior than mere mum and dad knowledge............;)

I have read, and I have cast my vote. I am sorry but I voted no. Not because I don’t want you spending your money, but only because you should not waste it. It sounds like a pyramid scam and there is no money to be made.

Besides, the thing is unethical. By clicking on the ads on a web, the company tracks the hits to the ad and then can go back to the business advertising and charge them more or justify continued advertising space based on the volume of hits to the site, even though the hits to the site or not genuine. It is wrong and by doing this you are participating in an element of frauding businesses.
