You know, that happens to me all the while, I'm glad I'm not the only one.

Two years! Amazing!

I always remember this guy once falling asleep on ours in the old days, made my husband go get him out of there!

Why is it that all of the above sit on your toilet and refuse to leave? Does it have a soft fuzzy seat? Is it made of gold?

Peg you odd person, they're not all there at the same time! They show up one by one, I think it's the bright light I put in there and the heat from the water cylinder. And the conversation.

I think so. They seem happy enough to talk back anyway. We have long conversations.

I can't figure out what the woman was thinking let alone the guy who let her sit there for 2 years. It took 2 years to realize there could be a problem? :wah:

Something, I suspect, had frightened her. Fear does that to people. I'm not sure we'll ever be told what.

I found this disturbing that the boyfriend didn't see a problem for 2 years....that he took her food and drink...this was a very sad story indeed.

my ex-mother in law suffered from agraphopia, of course at first I didn't believe her, because she discovered her problem on Oprah, she was a bit dramatic. But as years went on, the woman never left her home, except for the few times her and her husband moved, and I heard that they were SCAREY events. She finally died from an infection that went un-treated because she refused to go to the doctor. This woman suffered from a lot of guilt in her life, many believe she is the reason her daughter (5 years) and grand-daughter (2.5) died in a fire in her basement, she cleaned up before the fire fighters got there, all there was, dead children...very sad sad story.....its amazing what people can live with and then again....what they can't.

I hope this woman gets help, I really do.

Whew! Initially I misread the subject line- I thought it was the boyfriend who sat on the toilet for two years. I was going to comment on how weird he must be for sitting down to wee.

PTSD = post traumatic stress.

Weird because it's rare that you find a man hygienically evolved enough to do so.

Actually, it was a [poor] attempt at humor.

But since you asked, let me clearly state that I fully support men sitting down to pee. :D

No problemo. My sarcasm is so biting as times it is often confused for truth.

Good on you for being a non-conformist in the toilet! It's trickier for us girls, not quite as many options means a lack of originality.

There's some codependency there for that boyfriend to allow her two years on the commode. There is no accounting for people.

Thanks Mike! :)

Yes, scary to think about. I hope they had two bathrooms. I still don't see how she could remain sitting for two solid years and not suffer a blood clot or edema or some other health problem. Just too weird!!

Your right, where was the family, let alone friends. You would think someone would have stood up and did something right about it.
