I'm from a family with Scottish roots and Mum was Irish. Cousins of mine have pulled on the Green shirt at Lansdowne Road and I've represented Scottish Students (once, very badly - it was 3 weeks before Finals, but I wasn't going to say no :D). I've also got a posh accent.

Actually, I've got a normal accent. It's everyone else who sounds as though they are trying to talk through a mouthful of cheese. :p

I'm English and proud of it! :-6:-6:-6

They are lovely people, going by those I've met, and they do their best to live up to the cliches!

Found they'd nicked me shoes and left me standing on a couple of bricks;)

Good for you, Clodhopper!!!!! (I will now be singing G&S all day!! sigh)

He is an Englishman!

For he himself has said it,

And it's greatly to his credit,

That he is an Englishman!

That he is an Englishman!

For he might have been a Roosian,

A French or Turk or Proosian,

Or perhaps Italian!

Or perhaps Italian!

But in spite of all temptations

To belong to other nations,

He remains an Englishman!

He remains an Englishman!
