There once was a little boy who had a bad temper. His Father gave him a bag of nails and told him that every time he lost his Temper, he must hammer a nail into the back of the fence.

The first day the boy had driven 37 nails into the fence. Over the next few weeks, as he learned to control his anger, the number of nails hammered daily gradually dwindled down. He discovered it was easier to hold his temper than to drive those nails into the fence.

Finally the day came when the boy didn't lose his temper at all. He told his father about it and the father suggested that the boy now pull out one nail for each day that he was able to hold his temper.

The days passed and the young boy was finally able to tell his father that all the nails were gone. The father took his son by the hand and led him to the fence

He said, 'You have done well, my son, but look at the holes in the fence. The fence will never be the same. When you say things in anger, they leave a scar just like this one. You can put a knife in a man and draw it out.

It won't matter how many times you say I'm sorry, the wound is still there. ' A verbal wound is as bad as a physical one.

Friends are very rare jewels, indeed. They make you smile and encourage you to succeed.

They lend an ear, they share words of praise and they always want to open their hearts to us.

Anyway, the whole thing is becoming a nuisance ---- we're all broadminded on here, but there is a limit. Please either go away and annoy another thread, or stay and talk about normal things. Tell us about where you live, what you do for work. How long you've lived in South Africa, and have you lived anywhere else. Have you got a family. What's your garden like. Have you got any pics of yourself, or where you live. You know the sort of stuff people find interesting.

Just act your age, and not your shoe size (UK sizes !)

ok, i've picked up the dummy i threw out of me pram.............. im not going to appologise for the above.

most of you on here have partners or husbands, i know NONE OF IT WAS DIRECTED AT ME but have you got any idea what its like to hear these sort of comments all the time, like i do cos im on my own and men seem to think you're crying out for their attention, no matter how unwanted.

i can tell the dirtiest jokes, swear like an irish navvy and hold my own anywhere but the underlined comment of jj's post just made me lose it big time.

Nobody has taken more stick off of JJ than me on this whole site I reckon.I have given him back worse though I have to say and not once has he been nasty about what I have said to him and yes I admit at times I have been really horrible .Im not saying for one moment that he has been right what he has been saying and at times I have really been annoyed at him over certain things.I can see why Gill has wrote what she has and certain things I have to agree with.However I also have to say that at times its only because of JJs messages this thread has kept going when nobody else has been around except me or Kay.He flirts............his a bloody tart as we all know..........but also Im a grown woman and I can handle myself here as its only words.Words also may I say that have never been THAT bad and even funny at times.I know JJ is very upset to have caused problems here and also to have upset Helen and Gill. I for one do not mind in the least if he wants to come back on here BUT he has to realise that some dont take his patter the same way I do............(I just laugh it off as its so bloody silly)......and has to respect that and I swear that if he dont he will get such a mouthful off of me he wont know what hit him.So JJ Gill was right when she said we want to know more about you...........so come back..........be our friend............I dont like keep having a go at you really you know........so how about it............wanna chat??

dont know if you saw my other post carol where i said i'd pm'd him and told him not to stay away cos i had a hissy fit............. i really cant think what came over me.

i did also reply to kathy but it kept telling me my post was too short and no matter what i added to it, it still wouldnt post.

Totally agree with carol. jj is a flirt we all know that and we all know he is harmless. He is a male amounst all us women , what do you expect:) but maybe a bit of other talk from jj would be interesting. he also keeps this thread going with pages and pages and that has to good:D Maybe we might just to know jj a bit better....that if he decides to come back.
