CBS is re-running Dexter, starting with the first season. Showtime has not canceled the series. I'm damned glad too, as we don't take Showtime and CBS has allowed the missus and me to see what we've been missing.

A serial killer who hunts serial killers. Brilliant. I'm considering looking for the novels now, too.

Dexter rocks. :-6

I would pay large to see Louise Lasser play Mary as a serial killer. Dammit, we should write for television!

I'm glad to hear you're coming to your senses. I was only able to watch about 7 minutes of the first episode... including the opening credits. The photography and poor writing drove me to turn it off.

Apparently there is some witty dialogue in there. I require more than a few one liners to commit to a series. It just didn't show evidence of being worthwhile.

There's some really ham-fisted writing, and some of the character interaction is awkward and forced. What keeps me watching is the character of Dexter, the actor who portrays him (Michael C. Hall), and the concept (meting out terror, pain, and death to deserving victimizers).

And here's a shuddery little twist: If not fed a steady diet of human monsters, Dexter's "dark passenger" would in all likelihood persuade him to turn his attentions to the rest of us.

Damn, worked myself up a little here. I may have to go find the DVDs and to Hell with CBS.

I was a big fan of Six Feet Under until David was kidnapped in the van and I felt the show had jumped the shark. Fell out of the habit of watching it then but have lately come to regret it. We'll probably pick up the story via DVD.

Yes I agree with you there. It still worth watching how it ended the series.
