Don't give them too much water as overwatering will cause them to grow much smaller leaves and the leaves won't split. Remember they grow naturally in the humid rainforest under the tree canopy, so just give them a very little water and spritz their leaves and the air around them with a little water too as the leaves take in the moisture. Use tepid water, it doesn't need to be warm.
ALSO, you can buy little bottles of baby bio leaf cleaner which makes the leaves a deep shiny green and which costs a fortune ! Don't do it! Pour a little milk into a saucer and use a cotton wool ball or a clean j-cloth to wipe the leaves. They look just as stunning, it's MUCH cheaper and its better for them! I love cheeseplants too! :-4
Best wishes to all your family Jimbo.
