well, tonight was a resounding sucess !! half our team didnt turn up so we didnt play, i've been back since 9-30 but been doing a few odd and sods here.

ages ago i got some seeds from some plants in the car park, including roses, so i've planted them tonight just as an experiment.

you never know, if they grow i will make a bit of cash out of the local council if i sell em :D

Hello all,

Our grandson has been hogging the computer today.

Cleaning & feeding time at our place it's the weekend.

Hope all is well in your part of the world.

It's pretty good in mine:-6

Things I give to you

I Give To You

A fire to light inside your heart,

to feel the warm embers glow.

A piece of the sun's warm rays,

to bask in it's fiery show.

I Give To You

A piece of a rainbow to color your world,

when all seems totally gray.

Some roses for the sweet perfume,

to kiss your senses with its bouquet.

I Give To You

A sprinkling of some twinkling stars,

to wish upon at night.

The morning dew to kiss the day,

To bask in it's delight.

I Give To You

A summer's breeze to caress your face,

to show that someone cares.

The sweet song of the nightingale,

to remind you that I am always there.

I GIVE TO YOU

My lasting friendship, always true.

A gift of love to hold inside,

whenever you feel blue,

or just because you need a friend.

This friend...that will always be there for you!!

:wah: My hubs came home for a bite to eat and a couple of hours sleep, so i went downstairs and heated up the home made broth my mam had sent over last night. It was lovely. then he went to bed (was working late last night and up a 5 this morning) i had a read of the paper until sheila started jumping up at the wall bashing her lead with her paw:wah:so i took her out. Came back and got a coffe then decided to come back on here, when i came back i was still in the middle of a game of mahjong!:wah:it was up to 76 minutes:wah: i dunno im so easliy distracted:rolleyes:

I've just transported two fellas and a German Shepherd, in the car, to the woods so that our Rex dog can enjoy a bit of Heaven with all those trees :wah: As he's getting on in years ( 11 yrs) it doesn't tire him as much as walking down there, going round the woods and walking back (uphill all the way back). He has a wonderful time exploring all the bushes, undergrowth and of course, those marvellous trees.

He really does make us laugh, because he knows when it is about time for his

afternoon walk and he 'tanks up' from his water bowl, just to make sure he's got enough fuel on board to mark all his boundaries :wah::wah:

His 'road drill' is now amazing ! As he comes to where he crosses the road, which is usually very busy, he now stops without having to be told. He looks right, then left, then right again, and if there is something coming he will stay where he is. Then when it has passed, he looks both ways again and if it is all clear he looks up at Chris or Andy, whichever has hold of his lead and waits for the 'nod' then walks across the road (continually looking each way as he goes !). He was taught this only a few months ago, when he was 10 1/2 yrs old ! Who said you can't teach an old dog new tricks? :D

hi gill,

i suppose like us, even animals are always up for learning somethng new, its what keeps the old brain cells ticking over.

wally likes his walks in the woods, its where a springer ought to be, not trotting along the road or on the beach !!

of course now without the transport, he dosnt get much opportunity but i think he's happy with his lot.

Hi Guysxxx

First fanks so much for yer text today Gill when I was down a VERY COLD MARKET and soooooooooooo cold......I mean it was so nice of you to tell me how snug you was at home with ye hot choc drink(:rolleyes:grrrrrrrrrrr

When I got on the A12 today to go to me market I had only gone a few yards when there was loads of police everywhere in cars and a huge tankard had turned over in the middle of the A12....lucky enough it was mainly on the London bound side so they had left one lane open and as it was 5am there wasn't to much traffic about.Anyway it turns out they had shut part of the A12 off after I got through and coming back knowing this I made a flipping 20mile out of my way detour to miss the diversion as I heard it was mental.......and guess what....I hit part of the bleedin diversion and it was packedddddd:-5.....sooooo......I then had to cut across more country lanes that took me another 3 weeks:rolleyes: to get home AND on top of all that its been a rubbish day again...........tight gits:rolleyes:.....oh its hard at the top!!!!;):p

Hi Girls

Sounds like you all had a great day

Very windy here, took my youngest shopping as she had £20 that was burning a hole in her pocket. I needed some bits and bobs too, little monkey ended up with a new pair of party shoes off Next and some earings........Gawd they dont arf know how to spend ya dosh.

Its a weird sky here now, like a red haze lighting the room but the sky is full of black clouds, my woofer is out on his walkies with hubby. They go down the lagoons and the woods across the road, hes half springer, half jack russell.

Having a chinese takeway for tea tonight from the posh Hot Wok restaurant in the next town...yum yum:-6
