Vacations

Post by A Karenina »

What would be your dream vacation? What would be your nightmare vacation, a place where your spouse (or other) would literally have to drag you by your hair?

My dream vacations (I get to pick lots of them because I'm bossy and I started the thread!)

An Alaskan cruise.

A tour of Europe, specifically England, Sweden, Scotland, and Spain.

A fall foliage tour of New England (I'm doing that one next year, actually)

My "No! No! Don't make me go!" vacation:

Theme parks. Ugh! All that noise hurts my ears, and the whirling colors/flashing lights - it makes me blink in shock. It's worse than some tv shows I've run into - and that's saying a LOT! :D

Your turn ~

Vacations

I'd love to visit the United States some day, but they might not let me in pass the airport, I hear a lot of Irish have been stopped at the airport. Some were folk singers who sang rebel songs about Bin Laden & good auld G.W. Bush meeting up in a bar for lemonade drinks. A CIA agent on holidays (EU Dept) here heard the song.

They would label me an extremist of sorts. I'm too outspoken that's my problem. And that does Not go down too well in the CIA/FBI books.

One of our top Folk singers (I know him well)Christy Moore, was arrested at Livepool in the United Kigdom last week for singing a song against the UK's invasion in Iraq.

In Ireland, we can shout and Sing about anybody. That's the Irish for you.

I vote for your dream choices above! As a matter of fact, the only thing I would change is my #1 pick: I would go to Europe. I would also get to Italy and cruise the Greek Islands.

Since I still have fairly young children, I still enjoy theme parks. I remember how I felt when I was a kid and how exciting they were. So...I still like them. :)
