FG members need your help!!!!

Dear friends...

It is an exciting time indeed! The great and psychedelic band Pink Floyd is going to play Live Aid, a momentous occasion for us fans.

It is also a sad time. There are several fans here in FG, and being the parents, bill-payers, and tax-payers that we are, we simply cannot afford tickets and airfare. If there is a way, we will find it. However, we figured an even easier (ok...lazier) way to get there would be to set up a fund for all of our wonderful, generous, caring friends here to donate into and allow us to make the journey.

Seeing Pink Floyd has been a life-long dream for me, and I just KNOW there are many here who would love to make me and the other fans happy. Dig deep, give all you can...send an FG member to Live Aid! In return, you will receive our eternal gratitude and admiration.

You can email me for the account info., and I PROMISE, to the other fans hoping to go, I will be totally honest how much I collect. Really...I will. Swear. Pinkie-swear, even. Seriously.

i saw pink floyd live in the 1970's. or maybe it was the 1980's.

all i remember from the show was the guy behind me vomiting. oh, and i think they did a lot of CO2 fog stuff at one point in the show. yeah. i remember that.

Know what? I bet there ARE some who would see the two ROTFL guys and think they were meant to be an insult or a deception of some sort, or god knows what. I can't count the times I've had to type , or whatever the intent was to my posts, to avoid off the wall mis-interpretations.

It is tough to read the actual intent sometimes, isn't it? I'm just yanking chains a bit. Most who know me would see the "Please don't hurt me" and KNOW I was joking. Just a bit of fun!

Albums, as in vinyl? I'd have no idea how to do that, but you can download the album from the web. There are sites you can subscribe to, to download just about anything you want. My son has a subscription to one, it cost him 12 bucks for a year. I'll find out the details and post them for you, ok?

BTW i can't spare any cash for yours & Minks cause, but i can arrange for you both to be collected from Heathrow, its a pretty quick service and the cars are pretty comfy.:wah:

I've seen Pink Floyd twice. I bought 4 tickets the first time round thinking it would be easy to sell them since I got very good seats.

Well everyone I knew had also bought tickets. So I had to work my tail off to sell the extra 3 tickets. Many people wanted the better tickets but also wanted to sell their tickets off fist.

Had to give one guy a ride to the show in order for him to buy a ticket.
