The SPCA of Texas and The Humane Society of the United States are teaming up to offer pet owners in select zip codes the opportunity to get your pet(s) spayed/neutered for FREE thanks to the support of the Metroplex Animal Coalition.



This program is only available for those who live in the zip codes listed below. You must bring a photo ID or a copy of a utility bill to verify your residency in a qualified zip code. There is no limit on the number of dogs you may bring in to receive the free offer but we are limiting the number of cats to four per household. Simply call The HSUS or SPCA of Texas’ Spay/Neuter Clinic and setup your appointment today. The HSUS can be reached at 214.372.9999 and the SPCA of Texas can be reached at 214.651.9611, ext. 116 or ext. 133. You must have an appointment for this free offer. This offer expires September 1, 2005 and is subject to available funding.

We have a similar scheme in the area i live in Val, the Peoples Dispensary For Sick Animals (PDSA) gives a voucher and the recipiant only has to pay a small percentage.

They do it to stop the large number of unwanted litters being abandoned and destroyed.

Unfortunately a large proportion of the people they are aiming this scheme at dont give a $h1t one way or the other, and continue to let their poor animals churn out litter after litter!:-5
