Just checking in to say hi to all you lovely people. WHITE RABBITS for those for whom it's just turned 1 February (a family custom here on the first of each month). For me it's Saturday already - and I just came in from an early run. Autumnal out there. With flocks of sulphur crested cockatoos shredding the gum trees, and gardenias out in suburban gardens.. wild mint.

GOTTA HAVE COFFEE !!!! Where the heck are the kitchen staff? The butler? My maid!!!! You just can't get good help any more.... sigh.

Hi Gill, Kaylene. It was really a fast walk rather than a run. I use nordic trekking poles and belt across country... scaring the kangaroosters.

I think I heard the kitchen staff ... I can smell coffee brewing.... pant pant pant..

J'arrive !!!!

Afternoon all,

Hello Rosie & Gill sorry I missed you this morning.

I hadour grandaughter here to help me with my laundry & making the beds ,cleaning etc.

I can't do anything till next week so I had to get some help,I hate asking for help.

Instead of hiring someone I decided I would pay our grandaughter. She was a big help & we had fun together so that is the main thing

Hope your day got better Helen.

Hello mrsk2.

You walk across the car park, unlock your car and get inside. Then you lock all your doors, start the engine and shift or put into reverse. You look into the rear-view mirror to back out of your parking space and You notice a piece of paper stuck to the middle of the rear window.

So, you shift the gear stick back into neutral, unlock your doors and jump out of your car to remove that paper or whatever it is that is obstructing your view. When you reach the back of your car that is when the car-jackers appear out of nowhere, jump into your car and take off!! Your engine was running, you would have left your processions/wallet/purse in the car and they practically mow you down as they speed off in your car.

BE AWARE OF THIS NEW SCHEME THAT IS NOW BEING USED IN GLASGOW AND MANCHESTER

AND IS MAKING ITS WAY ACROSS THE COUNTRY!!!!!!!!

Just drive away and remove the paper later! It is stuck to your Window and be thankful that you read this email. I hope you will forward this to friends and. A laptop/wallet/purse may contain all identification, and you certainly do NOT want someone getting your home address. They already HAVE your keys!!!

I have been sent this warning and asked that it be distributed widely to alert everyone -

JUST BE AWARE AND TAKE CARE IT WILL PROBABLY SOON ARRIVE IN YOUR AREA

Subject: Fwd: FW: Petrol Prices

See what you think and pass it on if you agree with it

We are hitting 106.9 p a litre in some areas now, soon we will be faced with paying £1.10 a ltr. Philip Hollsworth offered this good idea:

This makes MUCH MORE SENSE than the 'don't buy petrol on a certain day campaign that was going around last April or May! The oil companies just laughed at that because they knew we wouldn't

continue to hurt ourselves by refusing to buy petrol. It was more of an inconvenience to us than it was a problem for them. BUT,whoever thought of this idea, has come up with a plan that can really work.

Please read it and join in!

Now that the oil companies and the OPEC nations have conditioned us to think that the cost of a litre is CHEAP, we need to take a ggressive action to teach them that BUYERS control the market place

not sellers. With the price of petrol going up more each day, we consumers need to take action. The only way we are going to see the price of petrol come down is if we hit someone in the pocket by not purchasing their Petrol! And we can do that WITHOUT hurting ourselves. Here's the idea:

For the rest of this year DON'T purchase ANY petrol from the two biggest oil companies (which now are one), ESSO and BP.

If they are not selling any petrol, they will be inclined to reduce their prices. If they reduce their prices, the other companies will have to follow suit. But to have an impact we need to reach literally millions of Esso and BP petrol buyers. It's really simple to do!!

Now, don't wimp out on me at this point... keep reading and I'll explain how simple it is to reach millions of people!!

I am sending this note to a lot of people. If each of you send it to at least ten more (30 x 10 = 300)... and those 300 send it to at least ten more (300 x 10 = 3,000) ... and so on, by the time the message reaches the sixth generation of people, we will have reached over THREE MILLION consumers! If those three million get excited and pass this on to ten friends each, then 30 million people will have been contacted! If it goes one level further, you guessed it... ..

THREE HUNDRED MILLION PEOPLE!!!

Again, all You have to do is send this to 10 people. That's all.

(and not buy at ESSO/BP) How long would all that take? If each of us sends this email out to ten more people within one day of receipt, all 300 MILLION people could conceivably be contacted within the

next 8days!!! Acting together we can make a difference If this makes sense to you, please pass this message on.

PLEASE HOLD OUT UNTIL THEY LOWER THEIR PRICES TO THE 69p a LITRE RANGE.

It's easy to make this happen. Just forward this email, and buy your petrol at Shell, Asda,Tesco, Sainsburys, Morrisons Jet etc. i.e. boycott BP and Esso.

Today, while sorting through all my old invoices and bank statements from our charter/trip boat business - and shredding them. I started remembering things that had happened during those hectic days. One of them was a 'hen' party we had on board for an evening private party. 'Hen' parties seem to be OK, because the ladies are just noisy, and there is lots of laughter and fun. Well this particdular 'hen' party occurred on a lovely summer evening, and there were about 40 girls/ladies obviously out to have a blinkin good time during their three hours on the river. From the start of the cruise, with music of their choice piped around the boat, they were laughing, dancing and really getting into the swing of the evening. There was a huddle of girls in one corner of the saloon, very busy, and after about half an hour, they finished with their 'huddle' and carried things up the steps to the upper deck and outside. As we approached out first river lock, the lock-keeper came to the edge of the lock and immediately burst out laughing. There, all around the stern and half way up either side of the boat, at water level, was a line of inflated condoms all tied together ! One of the girls called to the lock-keeper that it was the boat's new floatation collar ! I suspect that our two deck crew members gave them a helping hand to secure them !

Needless to say the whole trip was a roaring success, there were no adverse incidents and everybody got off the boat at the end of the evening as they had got on at the beginning --- all laughing, and raring to go. Except they were now chanting "where's that night club, where's that night club!!" . as they meandered away from the jetty !

Thats a lovely pic of your boat Gill:-4
