Sometimes you just have to swear!!!

Post by Imladris »

Like just now when I rested my finger on the very hot gas fire!

My words of choice were 'ow, sh!t, bugger, *******'.

The finger is fine now and fortunately I'm in the office with no-one else!

So, I apologised to an empty room () and shall now continue with my banal conversation with myself.

You're not the only one swearing, I just did my shopping for the next two weeks. It gets heavier every time I bring it up the hill. Marmalade and a raspberry conserve, 1 pound each (these are weights, I'm just working out why my arms stretched). Spaghetti 2lb, Rice 4lb, coffee whitener 1lb, custard creams 1lb, porridge 2lbs, sauces 6lbs, something-like-butter-in-a-tub 2lbs, ground coffee 2lbs.

22 pounds weight. Do I seriously eat 11 pounds in a week? That's horrifying. Maybe it'll last a month.

£7.93, Sainsbury's. Not bad really, but that's a seriously unhealthy diet now I look at it.

That was very restrained of you!

It's amazing how inventive our swearing becomes in front of kids! I've used at various times - knickers, fiddlesticks, bottoms and shavings!

i'm not even going to comment on the fiddlesticks thingy
If I'd said fiddlesticks when I were a lad I'd have spent the next few hours scrubbing t'coalhouse wi' a bent toothbrush.

No no - cream's wet. This is a white powder, it doesn't take a lot to have an effect.

I love swearing. I do it for the effect. People never expect it of me, so they really laugh. I have a couple of really filthy favorites. I often laugh at MYSELF when I swear,

Coffee whitener, The stuff that allows the coffee to burn your lips and tongue, because it simply whitens... doesnt cool anything off.
