Sophie and Arlene are outside their nursing home, having a drink and a smoke, when it starts to rain. Sophie pulls out a condom, cuts off the end, puts i it over her cigarette, and continues smoking.

Arlene: What in the hell is that?

Sophie: A condom. This way my cigarette doesn't get wet.

Arlene: Where did you get it?

Sophie: You can get them at any drugstore.

The next day, Arlene hobbles herself into the local drugstore and announces to the pharmacist that she wants a box of condoms.

The pharmacist, obviously embarrassed, looks at her kind of strangely (she is after all, over 80 years of age), but very delicately asks what brand of condom she prefers.

"Doesn't matter Sonny, as long as it fits on a Camel."

She got up, unplugged the Computer, and threw out my wine.

Morning all, or good night to the aussies. I'm just about to hit the hay myself. Kaylene, it's been oppressively searing here all day, then suddenly, about an hour ago we got a storm and tons of rain. Nice!!!

I hope today is loads better, Carolly. I had a lovely yack this evening to my daughter in Paris. Wish she wasn't so far away. But she was happy and laughing and it felt so good just to hear her voice. She says it's freezing there.

Here's some breakfast!!

Hello everybody ! There are so many of you that I could fill a page saying hello individually ! Please forgive my idleness :sneaky:

Like Carol I had a very iffy day yesterday, not so bad as Carol though. Well let's hope that out of the trauma created by other pedantic dogs- with- bones, comes a little compassion, a lot less arrogance, and more gentlemanly behaviour. The latter, I'm afraid and to quote another scandalised member, will not happen from one direction - "until hell freezes over".

We took our lovely German Shepherd to the vets this morning for a biopsy on a lump which had appeared just infront of his rib cage. The results will be back probably next Monday, and if it is benign and isn't irritating him, it will be left without surgery. If it is malignant, then he will have to have an operation to remove it. At 11 years old, going under an anaesthetic is always a risk, but he is a pretty fit and strong dog. Anyway we''l just have to wait and see.
