Hang on, am I the only Aussie bloke here????? Where's that bloke living in Blighty? OzBoy, did you get trapped in a pub or something?

Thanks Tombstone :-6

Don’t stress Diuretic Imp here, a little on the frozen side but still here matey!!!

Welcome back MF! I must say that this habitual slang bashing gets on my nerves sometimes. It’s only natural that different cultures and languages promote different meanings, pronunciations etc in various words/phrases etc.

I mean I nearly got beheaded for saying the word 'wog' when I first arrived in ol blighty but I honestly had no idea it was so offensive to people here! If I had an $$ for every time I got called that back home in Sydney Id be a bloody millionaire!

All I'm saying is in these multicultural times we have an obligation to stop and think about who we're talking too and where they are from before we decide the true context of their comments and where they are stemming from. Its not hard to tell when sometime is using certain slang words in a derogatory manner. Next thing you know we'll be offending bird lovers for saying "stone the flamin crows" now that would be a sad day for all aussies :(

If anyone talks to MF, let her know that I am trying to get in touch with her. Her email or another site where I could find her would be great! :D

Thanks Pants !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'll catch up when I get home in a couple of days. Have very limited internet connection time here, and there's great snow today.. grin... calling loudly. (I went snowshoeing last night in the woods... pitch dark on the way back, we all kept falling into ravines, starting mini avalanches, and generally killing ourselves with laughter).
