The older you get, the tougher it is to lose weight because by then, your body and your fat are really good friends .

Just when I was getting used to yesterday, along came today.

Sometimes I think I understand everything, then I regain consciousness.

I gave up jogging for my health when my thighs kept rubbing together and setting my pantyhose on fire.

Amazing! You hang something in your closet for a while and it shrinks two sizes!

Skinny people irritate me! Especially when they say things like, "You know, sometimes I just forget to eat."

Now I've forgotten my address, my mother's maiden name, and my keys. But I've never forgotten to eat. You have to be a special kind of stupid to forget to eat.

A friend of mine confused her valium with her birth control pills. She had 14 kids, but she doesn't really care.

The trouble with some women is that they get all excited about nothing and then they marry him!

I read this article that said the typical symptoms of stress are: eating too much, impulse buying, and driving too fast. Are they kidding? That is my idea of a perfect day:rolleyes::wah:;)

Had a phone from my son today, he played in a band at the local RSL with hubbies ex wife then he did a solo by himself. Sounds as though he is having a great holiday:D

Took Latesha for her first swim....put her feet in first, then her legs then her body then she didnt want to get out. She has been asleep for hours must take her swimming more. Shayden just laid in the shade kicking his legs and enjoying himself and he is still asleep

On medicos - I rewatched the series one episode of House last night where some poor unsuspecting nerdy kid gets not only leprosy but anthrax as well. Luckily Hugh Laurie was there to sort things. While getting Chase and his Dad back together, and getting the nerdy kid's dad his comeuppance. He wasn't a test pilot after all - he'd just snuck off to some guru's ashram to contemplate his navel. Reality soaps are wonderful!!!

Cooking for New Year's Eve here. Well, just the stuff I can do in advance = yesterday afternoon a chicken liver terrine with fresh herbs and garlic all wrapped in bacon... smells wonderful. And this morning almond shortbread.

Lovey sunny Sydney Sunday. Went out for a run early - and am going to take Small Person to the library shortly. There's a very decent public library just up the road - he's out of readers and other books. And we can't have that. Then, this afternoon I think we just have to go to the beach before the big shut down happens here on Monday, New Year's Eve. Got locked out of my own street last year, and had to threaten the guard with unspeakable torments - like me singing - before he finally let me through. GRRRRR. This year is going to be worse. One of the downsides - possibly the only downside - of living on Sydney harbour in prime NYE firework viewing position.

I think we get to New Year BEFORE North American and UK FGers - so I'll be able to let you all know whether 2008 has been cancelled or we get a new year's new chances.
