I thought it said it's going to be available next year for around $30,000. A lot of these electric cars seem more like motorcycles with a shell than practical transportation, but it's good that there's R&D being done in that area. With the new battery and electric motor technologies, there's no reason electric cars couldn't be used on a daily basis for running around town.
