Whoa! Holy Profane Cooking, Batman! This show rocked my world and knocked my socks off last night. anyone see it? They got the most decorated cook in Great Britain (He won best chef 9 years in a row) who coincidentally spouts profanity like a drill instructor to host a "Survivor"-style cooking show.

Winner gets their own restaurant!

This guy is totally off the wall, he smeared food on some of the cooks, insulted them continuously, gave a couple nervous breakdowns, and even told two female patrons to "F**K off and go back to your plastic surgeons!"

Zany! I love it! :D

Like you can't believe! Very creative in his insults, and absolutely lethal in his sarcasm!

So is he on TV over in Britain? :-3

So is he on TV over in Britain? :-3He's on tonight as it happens, "Ramseys kitchen nightmares" and its blummin funny.

He goes into failing restaurants and shows them where they are going wrong, some of them are unbelievably filthy!

Last week he gave the head chef and matre de a blind tasting just to check their palate, and they both chose the bloody pot noodle! too funny!:wah:

I think he's a very sexy guy, but then i always was a sucker for a guy that could cook. :-4

And he's an ex professional football player, he used to play for Glagow Rangers!

Reeeeally! (Jives puffs up proudly) Ahem...did I mention that I was a Corporate Chef for 8 years? I ran "Fat Tuesday's" a Cajun Restaurant chain with over 1400 stores. I wrote and developed their menu myself.

I really make a mean jambalaya!

I can`t stand the bloke and see nothing funny at all in being rude and impatient - it sets such a bad example to young people, for a start. I wonder if there is any truth in the rumour that the expletive "Gordon Bennett" (used in England instead of more colourful language like f**k for example) is to be replaced with the phrase, "Gordon Ramsey"?!

I'm with you, John! But it sure is funny to see.

I wonder if there is any truth in the rumour that the expletive "Gordon Bennett"

"Gordon Bennett" is a swear word? Really? How strange.

And he couldn't intimidate this fighter pilot, Abbey! I would've gone head to head with him in creative insults in a heartbeat! I also would've been a team leader in the kitchen, almost naturally.

I dont know if this is the 1st or 2nd series you are watching Jives, but i seem to recall reading somewhere that a chef in the American show was suing GR for something or other.

Maybe his feelings were hurt! :wah:

Watching it, recording it, loving it! Sure, he doesn't act like a gentleman...but with a program name like Hell's Kitchen, what would be the point if they casted a milquetoast cooking personality?

This is the very first series for us. Hell's Kitchen premiered two weeks ago. I'm sure he's a magnet for lawsuits. :)

Yeah, I'd put my money on Jives anyday if you tried to match him up with Gordon.

My ex is a chef.

They started filming a show locally a number of years ago. He got a letter asking if he would be interested in being head chef on a show where all the cooks are naked. He said they obviously hadn't seen him before. (I'm glad he cracked that joke first)

He says the kitchen is a battlefield. I might try and catch the show to see what he means.

They all acted like diva's and Ramsey wiped the floor with them, very good!

This year the kitchen was split into two, ordinary people, two top chefs trying to be like Ramsey, failing miserably and it was crap!

Ramsey certainly made the show, and it was made all the more watchable by his constant put downs and profanities.

Ramsey on our hells kitchen to Edwina Curry ex MP who admitted in her auto biography having had an affair with ex prime minister John Major,

"One minute you're shagging our prime minister and now you're shagging me from behind,"

Pure gold!

Ramsey was on form last night in Kitchen nightmares, although i have to say i was a little dissapointed , he seemed to be treading on eggshells with the french chef of a top restauant in scotland.

The clashing of the ego's of ramsey & froggy was electric! but the highlight was Ramsey kitting all the kitchen staff out in kilts...tres bien!

Well the series finale was Monday night and Michael, the skinny, quiet chef beat out Ralph, the professional and more aggressive chef.

What did you guys think of the finale?

Loved it! I was rooting for Michael by around the middle of the season. He seemed to be a no nonsense type of guy with great recipes.

I was also impressed that Gordon thought enough of him to have him come back to London to work under him. Quite an honor.

What did you think?

BTW, what do you think is going to happen to Ralph? I wonder where he is working now?

Don't Shut It Down! - Ratings Big for Hell's Kitchen

Fox fries high Mon. with 'Hell's Kitchen'

"Hell's Kitchen" had some heat in it Monday as Fox's summer original series wrapped its run with nearly 9 million viewers checking out the finale of the culinary competition. The final installment of "Kitchen" drew 8.9 million viewers and 4.4 rating/13 share in the adults 18-49 demographic as contestant Michael Wray, a chef from Fort Collins, Colo., presented his dream-restaurant to host Gordon Ramsay cinch the competition.

The 8 p.m. penultimate installment brought in 6.7 million viewers and 2.7/10 in adults 18-49, according to preliminary estimates from Nielsen Media Research. Fox didn't have much competition for the night, though CBS' 10 p.m. "CSI: Miami" rerun (9.9 million, 3.2/9) pushed past "Kitchen" to rank as the night's most-watched program overall. I loved it. My wife and I were glued to it. Michael deserved to win. I have to give Ramsey a great deal of credit for being able to sort them out like he did. I think he could have done it without filling the air with profanity and it would make the show a lot more appealing. Some of the things they were obviously saying couldn't have improved the taste of the food or its presentation.

Is that the episode where he tells the two "pretty girls" to "shut up, sit back down or go back to your plastic surgeon's"?

Is it the same version that we just had over here? If so, there should be a tall skinny tattooed guy named Michael.

Tell me, did they bleep out the cursing when it was aired in the States?

Because when he did the show for Britain his language was'nt as blue because it was live and was shown before the watershed (9pm).

ROFL! Yeah that's the same show...you're gonna LOVE it! I didn't miss a single episode because it really swung back and forth.

And yes, they had to bleep a lot of stuff, but the bleeps were pretty short, so you could tell he was saying stuff like "Oh is that what you think? well F*** off!"

Saw America's Hell kitchen last night. That Ramsey's quite shy really, he only swears and shouts because he's afraid no one will listen to him. Either that or he's got a personaility disorder- but we love him.
