Russia tied to Iraq's missing arms
By Bill Gertz
THE WASHINGTON TIMES
Russian special forces troops moved many of Saddam Hussein's weapons and related goods out of Iraq and into Syria in the weeks before the March 2003 U.S. military operation, The Washington Times has learned.
John A. Shaw, the deputy undersecretary of defense for international technology security, said in an interview that he believes the Russian troops, working with Iraqi intelligence, "almost certainly" removed the high-explosive material that went missing from the Al-Qaqaa facility, south of Baghdad.

It is all very confusing for me. However I will say that Russians should provide any information they have on what happened to the Iraqi weapons and explosives that were transported out of the country. They should also explain what happened to Iraq's weapons of mass destruction programs if they have any knowledge about it.
Why not be Comrades in Arms with peace?

Why would they bother? It's not as though they don't have enough of their own is it?
Given the level of satellite sutveillance how likely is it nobody noticed convoys of lorreis moving stuff away from known dumps.
so Russia flogged them a few scud missiles the west sold them chemical factories and the know how to make chemical weapons, one's as bad as the other.

I wouldn't be surprised.
I'm much more concerned about North Korea. But then again, if they misbehave, they will have the Chinese to deal with - as well as the Russians.
