G'day Carol, Chris, Kay, Chezzie, kaz, l&m. I just went and read the doggie thread. What a twit!!

Spoke to my daughter last night. Her new channel is launched. France now has its own hip hop channel on MTV!! She is exhausted and intends to sleep the whole weekend. Go Romy!!!

Kay - yes, I'll be back in Sydney probably on Boxing Day or the day after and then here for most of January. In Australia - for you Brit lot - we've just finished the schoool year which follows the calendar year here. Summer hols are upon us.

I do appreciate that Carol is Queen of Posh, so I won't mention that my balcony here is a front row seat for the Sydney New Year's Eve fireworks. They shut down all the streets round midday, and the only way in is on foot, via loads of security. I made the mistake of going for a run last year and of course I don't run carrying passports, drivers license, ID cards, or letters with my address on... I had to threaten the guard with a karate kick in a tender region if he didn't let me home. That actually worked. Eventually. But I digress...

Overcast here today and mega humid. Wish I could head straight for the sea, but Small Person has a cough. We might go and see the Bee Movie!

Dust storms ,very gusty windy night,black outs,thunder & lightning.

It was all happening,then the rain arrived & some of the humidity has gone.

Well, boys and girls....I am simply delighted tonight ...finally home and have a week off from work...I plan to post a bit and then be very decadant....will sleep until I wake tomorrow and lay in bed all day doing nothing but drinking lots and lots of coffee, and then it's on to pizza and beer while reading tons of newspapers and books. Oh, and add chocolate to that too.:-4

I'll pop in tomorrow between beer runs.

Hi, Itsme! What a pity your sister broke her arm here!! Not a good thing to do while you're away from home, trying to have a holiday. I hope, at least, it goes with a good story she can dine out on, on a cold wintry evening by the fire inside some great English pub:

I was climbing the Harbour Bridge when a feral fruitbat from the nearby Botanic Gardens divebombed me - I fought it off - they have a fifteen foot wingspan - and valiently saved my colleagues and friends, but alas, I fell onto the Opera House and banged my arm on one of the sails.

I was in the outback digging for opals when....

I was swimming at Bondi when I noticed this black fin thing and...

Anyway, seriously, I hope it won't spoil her memories of my country.

Kaz - the little one is bouncing - the whole school got some coughing bug in the last week, and he's almost clear of it now. But not swimming for a few more days.

The picture is of Nottingham city centre, with the council house dominating the re-vamped 'slab square'. Gawd knows what time of night this was taken, or what day of the week because, as far as I am informed, this square is always busy with people at any time of day or night ! Nottingham is my home town by the way.

I tell you these 'sat.navs' are sometimes unreliable !:wah:

Hello everyone,

Apologies for not making an appearance for the past week or so, we have been busy finalising our Christmas Holiday in Canada. We are taking a skiing holiday in Banff for a week then spending the New Year with some friends in Washington so after today i won't be around untill the New Year, not unless i can find a pc somewhere, i do know they have them in Banff so who knows.

So i will say to everyone now, just in case i don't manage to get back on.

HI all:D been getting rid of all me ironing etc. in preperation for Christmas. Im going out tonight with family for a christmas meal etc, so wont be on later ( Sorry Carol maybe we will chat before then i hope:() If not have an absolutely fabulous tme at costa del butlins sweetie:wah:

Tomorrow will be a quick spring clean of the house, then Christmas eve i have about 12 of us for tea, a buffet spread and drinks, then christmas morning my daughter and her boyfriend have invited themselves for breakfast, seeing as they are going to his mams for lunch, and then i will have 9 of us for Christmas lunch. Good job i dont mind cooking:wah:

But as the night went on he sang some good song and there was much dancing, singing and waving of arms:D I hadnt intended to stya late but it was 1 am when i got home, nevertheless i have been up aand cleaning like a mad woman all day!! Im knackered now and having a rest. We may go out for Sunday lunch later on today:sneaky:
