I'm going to Japan

Well my flights are confirmed for a one way trip to Japan leaving Glasgow on the 30th of May 2008 at 11:25am connecting in Amsterdam Schipol at 14:00 then and that will be on a Boeing 737 :) then an hour later i'll be going on a Boeing 747 departing Amsterdam at 15:20pm then arriving in Tokyo Nartia at 09:45 the following day :), i'm calling the trip My Journey Of Self Discovery :wah: when i arrive in Tokyo i'll be staying in a studio apartment in the neighbourhood of Kashiwa for 45,000 yen which is £198.58 i'm really really exicted about this and cant wait till may comes :guitarist

Wow! thats great news Darren!! :-6

When did your plans change? I thought you were going to NYC?

How long are you planning to stay in Japan? What do you plan to do there? This is really exciting - I hope you have a wonderful adventure and life deals you all that you hoped for. :-6

I have no idea how long i want to stay in Japan hence the one way ticket my plans havnt changed i still want to get to New York one way or another :wah: the thing about Japan that instrests me is the culture i find it so fasanaiting :-6

Wow. Big move. Im excited for you. Nervous and excited. What are your plans when you get there ? Geisha girls I imagine. Get yourself a concubine and try that hanging basket trick.

You know Ive always considered myself Japanese.

No I dont speak the language and Ive never been there but theres a nagging feeling deep down that theres a connection somehow.

Maybe its the ninja in me I dont know.

Anyway I hope you like rice and raw squid.

Hi Darren,

My brother is married to a japanese lady and they fly out to Japan for 4 weeks on the 28th of December. His wife has a business here in London doing kimonos and bags etc...

My brother lived in Japan for 10 years and told me quite a bit about it. Theyhave quite a strange culture and weird ways, im sure you will have a wonderful time, just be careful ok :)

Ooh ooh Darren, You should be a Sumo wrestler. Sumo wrestlers are revered in Japan. The only problem I see is having your butt hanging out while you work. Ooh wait, Idea: You could be a Scottish kilt wearing Sumo wrestler (Ya gotta have a catch).
