Let's hope these two never reproduce, especially with each other.

Oh wow. In the old Methodist church, dancing wasn't permitted either because they thought it something sexual. It's amazing how people can hold such weird notions. I would like to know what their religion is.

Wow, I haven't seen Footloose in about a million years. It was kind of sad seeing Chris Penn there, he died way too young. :-1

He's 44, they've been married 23 years and they were at a fancy-dress party. The expressions probably give it away. I'm sure their children are credits to the community.

The church I had to go to as a kid would not permit dancing. Or any other disgusting lewdness. Those tee shirts - worn in this instance obviously in fun - take me right back there. I still feel queasy at the thought of such joyless repression. Doing the cancan with no knickers is so much more fun...

Spot, you seem to be taking particular care to enter my jokie threads and throw cold water all over them. Is there a problem? Surely you can't be that concerned that all the facts aren't being represented (and unknown, in most cases) and feel you need to be a shing beacon of knowledge for the poor, unfortunate souls you encounter in your far flung internet travels. It's getting rather wearisome.:yh_sleep

No, it's not focused on you at all. There's this and the bollards? Two posts?

There's a difference between demanding all the facts and standing something on its head, that's all. I occasionally add detail but that's not what this was. This, like the bollards, was an upside-down story that made sense only when it was turned right way up. Is Mark Oestreicher's Christmas fancy-dress staff party not more interesting than two anonymous idiot protesters? I thought it was.

You're forgetting your 'Golden Bough' insertion in another thread. I feel like I'm being stalked by a librarian.

That wasn't your jokey thread, that was Hamid's blessing thread and it wasn't cold water, I was adding to the amusement of your devilish sneeze. Do you seriously feel stalked?

And a blight, don't leave that bit out.

If I start a thread about animals would you mind joining in? I'd quite like that.
