Nicky and Emma-Dominique
With the help of a new friend I have plucked up enough courage to post the story of Nicky and Emma-Dominique on Forum Garden ... I'm still hesitant about clicking on that "submit" button ... what the hell ... here goes!
I met Emma-Dominique thru a mutual friend over two years ago ¦ she was very pretty ¦ beautiful I guess ¦ blonde ¦ great body ¦ we sort of “clicked almost at once and for the first month or so after we met we were together every night ¦ and I mean every single night and over weekends every day and night
She owned her own business ¦ an Estate Agency ¦her father was an executive at a motor manufacturing plant here in our city and I think her family were quite well of financially ¦ I on the other hand own a small business ¦
After we’d been together about six months she asked me to move into her apartment ¦ I was living with some of my mates in a sort of commune house ¦
So as you can imagine it didn’t take me long to decide to leave my “humble abode and move in with Emma ¦ we were mostly very happy.. Of course we had the usual arguments and fights over silly things and Emma was quite jealous so we often fought over me dancing too close with this girl or that girl or whatever ¦ I think you’ve probably been there done that yourself ¦
Anyway despite these odd fights we were very happy and contented until about three months ago when things started going wrong ¦ Emma started coming home late and saying she had been showing homes which often happened with her being an estate agent ¦ I didn’t think anything about it as our relationship and our sex life etc hadn’t changed much at that stage ¦
Then about a month before we split Emma sort of out the blue said that we needed to get out of each others faces so to speak ¦ she said that being together 24/7 wasn’t such a good idea after all ¦ I could read between the lines because I’m not an idiot and I figured that what she was actually saying was that it was time for me to move out ¦
I asked her about this and she said that she still loved me as much as ever but that we both needed our own space and that she thought that if we didn’t live together anymore it would most likely even strengthen our love ¦
You have to realise that I really really loved Emma and was actually seriously thinking about asking her to marry me ¦ anyway to cut a long story short ¦ I started looking for a place to stay because I could see that she was serious about me moving out ¦
Anyway I found a place eventually and moved out but there were still some of my things at her place ¦ it was one Saturday night I think and I had asked Emma if we were going out and she said I should go without her because she wasn’t feeling too good ¦
I wasn’t that keen on going out without her but anyway I told her “okay I’d go on my own ¦ anyway I went out to the usual place but by 9pm I figured I’d had enough so I decided to call on Emma and see how she was and at the same time pick up the remainder of my stuff ¦
I let myself into her flat and it was pretty quiet and she wasn’t around so I thought she would be in bed ¦ she was in bed but not alone! I actually went into her bedroom and saw her and one of our friends in the bed Emma and I used to sleep in! Can you believe it?
They were fast asleep ¦ so what do you think I did? Guess ¦ No?
I just turned around and walked out the bedroom ¦closing the door quietly behind me so as not to wake them! My first reaction on seeing them was to beat them both to a pulp but suddenly something sort of said to me:Don’t be crazy man ¦ just walk away
So that’s what I did ¦ and I went home and sort of cried a while.. . then went out again and got sloshed ¦ next day I phoned Emma and first asked her about what she’d done the night before ¦ I think I was hoping she might tell me that she’d done but she didn’t ¦ she lied and said she’s gone to bed early because she felt so sick!
Anyway when I told her what I’d seen there was a deathly hush at first then she said well she was gonna dump me anyway and she’s glad I saw what I saw so I sort of saved her the trouble of explaining that she didn’t like love me anymore ¦
So that is my sordid story and God help me ¦ I still love her even though she cheated on me ¦ to his credit our friend phoned me and tried to explain and I told him it was okay ¦ but it wasn’t ¦
I think I will eventually get over her but it will take some time ¦ sorry to bore you with my tale of woe but I have to say I feel much better now that I have put it all on paper ¦ guess you must think I am a real idiot for not waking them up and maybe having a go at them ¦ the truth is I was afraid I might kill one or both of them if I did ¦ anyway we actually see each other on the odd occasion because we go to the same clubs and stuff ¦
So what do you think? Think I’m a nerd for not beating the sh .. out of them?
Thanks so much for listening ¦

Thank you for feeling that you can trust and share that with us Nicky, I think that you did the right thing, chances are if you had of beat them you'd be locked up or be saddled with a heffty fine. I know you that you still love Emma but I think the way she treated you was at best poor, if she didn't want you she should have told you so you could of moved on.
I would never trust that 'friend' again and wouldn't waste another second listening or talking to him!
Please just make sure that this doesn't put you off moving on in the future, not all women are the same :-6

Try and think of your breakup this way: you're one step closer to the one you're meant to be with."
Breaking up is the beginning of new transition in your life. It's easy to look at an experience in a negative way, but its much better to view your separation as a new beginning for you Nicky.
Being broken up with does not mean that there is something wrong with you, it just means that there is something that is not working in the relationship. Try not to take the rejection too personally. Remember that lots of great people have had failed relationships - the fact that their relationship has failed says nothing about their value as a person. The fact that your relationship failed likewise says nothing about you as a person.
It is all right to cry, get mad and feel hurt when you are dumped. These are normal natural feelings. Just be sure that you let your feelings out in a safe place among friends or family. Do not make your ex the target of your feelings, even if they have done something to deserve your outrage. The sooner you let go of the other person, the sooner the healing can begin.
Acting out in anger is never good for anybody. After what you walked in on, im sure most people would say they deserved it, got what was coming to them. Acting vicious only makes you look bad and any satisfaction you may feel will be short lived. In the end this sort of behaviour will only make you feel worse.
Times a great healer as they say, things may seem bleak now but you never know what the future may hold for you and your ex. You may get back together someday. You may not. Either way it is better to let go of a faltering relationship while there is still some caring left between the two of you. Bowing out graciously leaves room for a future relationship with your ex, even if it is just as good friends.
Get out, meet new people and have fun! x

I'm not at all hesitant about clicking on that "submit" button. Not even slightly.
The word Preta started out in Eastern texts as a name for the remnant form of those who in previous lifes were jealous or greedy and who currently undergo suffering prior to rebirth. As a result of their karmic deficit they have afflicted themselves with an insatiable hunger for contact with the living. Traditionally, this hunger is directed toward repugnant or humiliating acts. They are generally seen as little more than nuisances to mortals. In some traditions, pretas try to prevent others from satisfying their own desires by means of illusion or disguise. They tend to be hard to bring into focus. While annoying, Pretas are seen as beings to be pitied and Buddhist monks, for example, have been known to leave offerings to them before meals being as they have reservoirs of goodwill to all.
The applicability of the word as an Internet term for people who haunt the same forum in a succession of guises sucking for sympathy and companionship is becoming well established. They're very puzzling and invariably unpleasant posters. I want to find out whether pretas hold still long enough to be reamed or whether they disappear and not show up again.
Which will it be, punk? What do I have to do round here to be called an evil heartless bastard anyway?

Only if your literary ambition extends to such extreme maudlin pathos, I've never seen evidence that it does. If you keep hunching your shoulder you'll end up playing Richard the Third at Stratford.

This is only the 2nd Forum I have belonged to, but it is really incredible as to how so much time can be put into a sham. Like, do not people have more things in their life to do. If not, then I would really be embarassed.
