if your a member of a forum and a friend gets banned surly you have a right to know why :-3:-3
if you're a member of a forum and a friend gets banned you might, I suppose, ask to know why. I can't imagine any answer would be forthcoming there since discussion in the moderator areas is necessarily confidential and sometimes based in part on information that doesn't appear in public threads such as, for example, the use of open proxies to bypass identification.
To a large extent, jimbo, the way people react to an initial warning or infraction often informs the subsequent decisions of the moderator team. I'd have thought that was self-evident. What might not be obvious is that the moderator team acts unanimously. There's no instance to my knowledge of any final decision in any matter being taken on a mere majority.
To turn this thread toward "who moderates the mods" the answer must surely be the management on whose behalf the moderators act. It is a function of management to guide, advise and occasionally override decisions. The guidance, advice or override is invariably correct and welcome, the moderators mere servitors.
